CHAPTER FOUR
THE FOLLOWING DAY, Breana dropped Brendon and Ben off to school, letting them find a solution to go home by their own after school because she was certain that she will not wait for Brendon to finish his practice. It has been killing Breana not telling their dad about Brendon's problem with the drugs, but she knew Brendon would be the one to kill her once she tells their father.
Breana saw Bonnie and Elena and decided to walk over to them since they did have the same first class, she noticed that the two girls were talking and it looked like a very deep conversation. She didn't want to interrupt them but she was already standing behind them and hearing what they were talking about.
"I'm not saying don't date the guy. I'm just saying take it slow." Bonnie told Elena, "Besides, Breana likes him a lot; you should've told her before barging in the guy's house and kissing him." Bonnie continued, looking annoyed.
Breana frowned at this, confused as to how her name got caught up with this, but she already had a gut feeling of what guy they were talking about, "Kissing who?"
Bonnie and Elena turned their heads and saw Breana standing in front of them with her arms folded on her chest. Elena's lips parted, not knowing what to say, she shook her head, trying not to look guilty, "Nothing."
"Elena went over to Stefan's house last night and they kissed." Bonnie blurted out, giving Elena a stern look.
And just like that, Breana's world felt as if it were crashing down on her shoulders and her heart, it was so heavy. She felt her heart squeeze in pain, looking at Elena in betrayal but she hid it immediately. She was deeply hurt that Elena and Stefan kissed, especially because Elena knew that she liked Stefan a lot. Breana couldn't believe that she even thought that they could have been something between her and Stefan, but obviously she was wrong.
Elena was always going to be every guy's first choice, she was always the ideal girl for them, and as for her, Breana, she was the second one, if not the third because everyone knew that Caroline has always been second choice if Elena can't be chosen.
"Oh." Was all that Breana could say, she looked down, feeling upset and hurt.
"Look, Bree—" Elena started, but Breana cut her off by shaking her head, giving the older brunette a smile, waving her hand lightly as if telling her she's perfectly fine.
Bonnie sighed sympathetically for Breana, grabbing her hand. She felt bad for her friend, she didn't know that Elena could go this low towards her own friend when she knew that Breana liked Stefan a lot, but she still went and kissed him anyway. The worse thing was Stefan kissed back.
Bonnie glanced at the two awkwardly, so she decided to change the subject, "This is stupid, but..."
"Bonnie..." Elena trailed off, giving her a look.
"What?" Bonnie asked as Breana stayed silent, looking down at her shoes, her head always being invaded by Stefan.
"Spit it out."
"I accidentally touched Stefan." Bonnie admitted, "And I got a really bad feeling."
Breana finally tear her eyes away from her shoes and glancing up at Bonnie, "Is that it, Bonnie?"
"It was bad bad!" Bonnie exclaimed, looking at her two friends.
Elena raised a brow at Bonnie, "Is this the witch mojo thing again?"
"You know what? I'm just concerned. This is me expressing concern about my best friend's new boyfriend." Bonnie snapped, giving Breana a brief glance.
