CHAPTER FIFTEEN

A WEEK PASSED after the incident with the mysterious vampire, Noah. Breana was in Stefan's room, sitting on his bed next to him, taking advantage of the peaceful time they could have before something goes wrong again. Breana abandoned her decision of avoiding Stefan and continued their friendship instead of letting her one sided feelings to ruin it.

Breana had already forgiven Caleb for not telling her and she was happy that he still saw her as his own daughter even though she was a child from an affair her mother had. As much as Breana wanted to know more about her biological father, Caleb knew nothing about him. Not even what he looked like.

"Rise and shine, sleepyheads." Damon exclaimed sarcastically as he barged in Stefan's room.

Breana rolled her eyes and turned her head towards Damon. Stefan sighed, looking at the blue eyed vampire, "What are you doing?" Stefan asked, annoyed with his brother.

"Oh, stop being smutty." Damon said, rolling his eyes.

Breana rolled her eyes, "We're not being smutty, asshole." She defended herself. It wasn't like she slept overnight, she came this morning to hang out and simply talk to Stefan, she knew Damon had already told him about her father, but it still felt better to tell the broody vampire, and he wasn't complaining.

Stefan scowled at Damon, "Seriously, get out of here." He complained, didn't like the fact that his brother was interrupting the peace that the pair was having.

Damon simply ignored him and continued, "Now listen, we have some very important business to discuss."

"Does it has to be right now?" Breana sighed, feeling lazy and not ready for another problem.

"Well, we have lots to do, now that we're all friends and working toward a common goal." Damon said, smirking sarcastically.

Breana and Stefan looked at each other as Damon sat on the end of the bed and twisting his body to face them, "So, in order to open the tomb, we need to find the journal to get the grimoire to undo the spells." He said, "First things first, since you are BFFs with Elena Gilbert, you're on journal duty."

Breana sighed, crossing her arms, "Since when am I helping?"

"Well, Stefan's helping, and you've taken up residence in Stefan's bed, ergo..." Damon trailed off, smirking at her.

Breana scowled, "I came here this morning, Damon." She snapped, "So, get your head out of the gutter, yeah?" She smiled coolly.

Stefan ignored Damon's statement and looked at Breana reassuringly, "You don't have to do anything that you don't want to do."

"I'll ask her tonight." Breana muttered, looking at Damon before lying down and pulling the sheets over her.

"Good." Damon answered on both statements, mostly about Breana's when she said she didn't sleep with Stefan.

Stefan turned his head towards Damon, "How do we know that this journal will hold the location of the grimoire?" He asked, "We're really going to take the word of this vampire? He seemed like a bit of a dimwit."

"In lieu of any other options."

Breana sat up again and looked at the brothers in confusion, "Okay, what exactly is a grimoire?"

"It's a witch's cookbook." Damon said, looking at her, smirking at the sight of her bra.

Stefan glanced at her as well and explained, "Every spell that a witch casts is unique unto itself so every witch would document their work."
