I was sitting at lunch, by myself minding my own business, when this popular girl comes over and sits down in front of me.
My eyes almost popped out of their sockets as the girl stared at me with the fakest smile I'd ever seen.
"Can I take a selfie with you?" She asked in a sweet tone, the fakeness dripped from her words like syrup.
I didn't budge. I mean I'm not totally inept to society, I know what a selfie is. I just didn't know why this fake bitch wanted on with me.
When she knew that I wasn't gonna move, much less speak, she got up, sat down next to me, took out her iPhone and snapped a picture.
She immediately got up running back to her table. As she ran, she yelled to her friends, who were laughing hysterically, she yelled
"Hey guys! I got a picture with the freak!"
I ignored her rude insult and continued to finish my lunch.

When I got home, immediately right when I walked in the fucking door I heard my father's screaming and my mother's sobbing. I quickly made my way upstairs and up to my room.
I started sobbing. Just like my mother. I put in my ear buds and let the music wash away my tears.
When I was almost asleep, I heard a knock on my door.
"Come In." I said sitting up.
My mother entered with mascara dry and stained down her cheeks.
"Nova, You know me and your father have been having problems right?"
My mother made it seem as if I was deaf. No fuck, I didn't hear them.
"Yeah." I said nodding
"Well, your father is gonna stay with his brother until we can work some things out." She said, wiping a finger underneath her eye.
FINALLY. I feel like I'm on cloud nine. Of course I couldn't tell my mom that.
"Oh, ok." I said trying to sound sad.
"Are you ok, Nova?" She asked, concerned.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I don't know." She said, shaking her head.
My mother walked over, hugged me and then left the room.
Jesus, I felt like I could fly right now.

The next day at school I was in P.E. minding my own business, listening to music while walking around the field when two boys ran past me, one bumping me down on the ground, causing my iPod to fall out of my pocket.
"Freak!" They yelled as they kept on running, laughing as they ran.
"Fuck off!" I yelled back as I grabbed my iPod off the grass and popped back in my ear buds, the lyrics of Fuck the Rest by Falling in Reverse started playing in my ears.
I walked across the P.E. field as the coach blew the whistle, calling us to come in.
I walked in silence, listening to my music, humming the lyrics as I walked. When I reached the back entrance to the locker room, I glanced over at some populars who were glancing my way and whispering.
I rolled my eyes as the coach opened the door and everyone piled in. I walked awkwardly behind everyone, walking into the locker room as the girls who weren't self conscious, go dressed. Some populars stood in a corner, in their neon sports bras, talking about...I don't know, the shit fake bitches talk about.
I walked over to my locker and turned the dial on my combination, when I got it opened, I grabbed my clothes, which consisted of a red Pierce the Veil shirt and some black skinny jeans. I closed my locker and walked over to the bathroom stalls and closed the door to one.
After changing I walked over to my locker and threw my gym clothes in, before closing it, locking the combination and grabbing my backpack.
The bell sounded, causing everyone to grab their things and pour out of the locker room. I waited till everyone had left before popping my headphones in and walking out the door. I walked through the gym to the hall and joined in with the flood of students flowing through the halls.
I clutched my binder inwards to my chest as I walked through all of the students. I had my music playing so it was like watching a silent movie, everyone moving and talking, yet no words being spoken.
