Alex POV :
I walked over to Andrea as we walked out of the room and closed the door.
"What?" I asked my impatient sister.
"Where were you last night? Dad's been questioning me for the past 24 hours!" She shout whispered, obviously annoyed.
"I've been with Nova, She got shot in the foot last night." I said and then I realized how stupid that sentence sounded.
"Yeah, wait what?" She said looking confused.
"Never mind, I'll tell you later. Now what do you want, I have to take Nova home." I asked, trying to get to the point.
"You need to come home, dad hasn't seen you since you asked for a ride last night at like 1 in the morning." She said.
"Okay, Nova lives just down the street from us, I'll come home after I take her home." I said sighing.
"Okay see ya." She said turning around and leaving.

Nova's POV
I waited in the room for Alex to get back. What was he talking about with his sister? That may have sounded a little bit nosy, but hey, it's who I am. Alex walked in the door and over to the bed I was sitting on.
"Everything alright?" I asked him with curiousity.
"Yeah, my sister was just reminding me to check in with my dad after I take you home." He replied.
"Oh, okay." I said not realizing about his dad in the whole situation.
"So, ya ready to go?" He said looking at me.
"Sure." I said, slowly turning to get out of bed. Alex had gotten a wheelchair for me to sit in a few minutes ago.
He carefully helped me off the bed into the wheelchair. This felt weird.
I had never been in a wheelchair and actually needed it. I mean when I was little, I used to play in them all the time when I visited my grandma at her nursing home but, I've never actually needed one.
I sat down on the chair and rested my feet on the foot thingys at the bottom of the chair. Alex kissed me on the cheek and then went behind the chair to push me. We went through the halls of the hospital and obviously we had to take the elevator and not the stairs.
When we got to the car, being the perfect gentleman he was, he helped me into the front seat of his car. He folded up my wheel chair and placed it in the backseat. Then he walked around to the driver's side and got in the car.
"You okay?" He asked me and I realized I had spaced out for a minute there.
"Yeah, I had just spaced out for a minute." I said, shaking my head.
Most of the car ride was silent. I kept thinking to myself about what exactly me and Alex were, I mean he told me he loved me and we've kissed a few times, I mean what the fuck are we? Friends with benefits? But friends with benefits meant no feelings. It also means sex...
I'm so confused
I was just sitting there thinking to myself when Alex broke the silence.
"So...whatchya doing today?" He said mashing the words together into 'whatchya'.
I snickered at his word play and said, "Nothing much, just lazing around my house. I'll probably need help getting upstairs though."
Shit I forgot my house had stairs and I didn't even think to get crutches. Dammit Nova!
