Warning: self harm and triggering torture is talked about in this chapter. I will tell you when that part comes up so you can skip over it if you want to. You shouldn't be reading it unless you're over the age of 18.
Seungcheol woke up while rubbing the side of his head. He looked off to a side, seeing Chan still laying inside his bed and sighing deeply to himself. He slowly stood up from his bed and left his bedroom so he could go downstairs and make breakfast for the kids.
"Making breakfast?" Minhyuk questions, walking up behind Seungcheol with a smirk on his face.
Seungcheol turned around, confused on who the unfamiliar voice was, and slightly jumped when he saw it was Minhyuk. "Jeez you scared me, what're you doing here...you're Seokmin's friend, right? How did you even get inside the house?!"
Minhyuk leaned himself against the counter and continued to stare at Seungcheol while explaining "my name is Minhyuk, I'm pretty sure I already told you but it's okay if you forgot. I got in by using the front door, it was unlocked. You know, you should really keep that door locked considering what kind of neighbourhood you all live in anyway." Minhyuk explains, looking around the kitchen.
"Um okay, but what're you doing here?"
"Here to see Seokmin but he's still asleep and he's a heavy sleeper so I couldn't get him to wake up. I decided to just chill downstairs until he wakes up. What're you making for breakfast?"
"Well don't get comfortable. On weekends Seokmin doesn't wake up until three o'clock in the afternoon. You'll need a miracle to wake him up earlier than that. I'm making breakfast for the other kids anyway, not for you." Seungcheol explains, now looking back down at the oven where he turned it on medium low.
"I'm just a hungry kid looking for a meal." Minhyuk explains in a tone like he was trying to get Seungcheol to pity him.
"Yeah, and we're all kids who are on a budget."
At the same time Jihoon came running down the stairs dressed up and looking like he was ready to go out. Seungcheol saw him get down from the staircase from the corner of his eye and walked outside of the kitchen to see Jihoon. "Where're you going so early in the morning?" Seungcheol questions, looking at Jihoon.
"I'm meeting up with someone."
"This early in the morning?"
Jihoon stared at Seungcheol with a blank expression on his face before sighing lightly and answering a small "yes."
"Someone I know?"
"Why're you asking so many questions?"
"Just curious." Seungcheol replies, leaning onto the door frame of the kitchen, still looking at Jihoon.
"Well they're not people you know." Jihoon answers before heading to the front to put his shoes on.
"They're?" Seungcheol replies while raising one eyebrow. Following Jihoon to the front door to continue speaking to him.
"Yes Seungcheol 'their.' I'm not a loser, I have friends too."
"Never said you were...I just want to know if you'll be back home for dinner."
Jihoon thought about it for a second before finishing putting on his shoes and explains "maybe, I'll have to see...I'll see you later." With that being said, Jihoon turned around and left the house.
Minghao was just about waking up from his nights rest, not being able to get a very good one. Jun was already awake and was picking at Minghao's teddy bear which had fallen on the ground while he was asleep.
