After our ski trip, Dad got us back into the training facility so that we could train, especially me. It had been a long time since I had been there, and I was a little rusty. Okay, forget a little, I was a lot rusty. I had no control over my punches and kicks. I kept getting tossed on my back every time I turned.

Oomph.

"You know there are better ways I could think of having you on your back," Drew smirked as he dropped me again.

Drew reached down, and I grabbed his hand with him helping me back up.

Dad walked over to us. "Liz, focus."

"I am focusing," I said, getting frustrated.

"Go again," Dad said, moving out of the way.

We took our stance, and I threw a right cross, countering with a roundhouse kick with Drew blocking my punches, then catching my leg, causing me to land on my back onto the mat. That repeatedly happened until I collapsed on the floor from exhaustion.

Dad leaned down and sighed, "I think that's enough for today."

Dad held out his hand, and I smacked it away, leaving him confused. "Let's go again."

"Liz, you had enough," Drew said. "Let's call it a night, and we'll pick it back up tomorrow."

I don't know what possessed me to do what I did next, but I pushed Drew. As he stood there, I pushed him again, making everyone stop and walked over to us. I yelled at Drew as he didn't fight back, then I hit him with as much force as I could, which cause him to react and take me down.

"What the hell, Liz?" Drew yelled.

"Get off me," I yelled at Drew.

"Not until you calm down," Drew yelled back at me. My anger got the best of me, and I started crying. I cover my face as I cried in frustration. Even though I was beyond exhausted, I still wanted to fight. It was like something pushed me to my breaking point, and that was Maddox.

All the anger of everything Maddox hit the boiling point, and I couldn't hold it inside. Everyone stood around us and Drew dropped to his knees, pulling me up and into his chest as I cried. He kept me, rubbing my back and soothing me.

"What the hell, dude?" Jordan asked Dad.

"I think all those years of taking it finally came to the surface. You know what they say when a dam has a crack in it. The longer it remains, at some point it has to give away. I think Elizabeth's dam broke," Dad said to Jordan with a sigh.

"Yeah, but is it a good or bad thing?" Frazier asked.

"Good for us. Bad for Maddox," Dad said emphatically.

I looked at Drew, "I'm so sorry."

"Shh, it's okay. As much as I want you to let your frustration out, there are lot more fun ways I could think of getting rid of them," Drew smiled. I shook my head as I laughed. He helped me up and wiped my face with his hands.

We walked up to Dad, "I'm sorry, Dad."

Dad reached for me and pulled me to him, "Honey, it's okay." He looked at me, "Listen to me, Elizabeth, it will take time to gain control, and you'll get there. I promise, but now, I think it's time to go home."

I nodded in agreement, and we all left the training facility. Drew draped his arm around my shoulder and started hobbling. I stopped and looked at Drew. "What? I think you hurt my leg with one of your kicks. You injured me and need caring."

I pushed Drew's arm off, walking away, shaking my head.

"What? Okay, maybe it wasn't a kick! It could have been when I ran into something in the training facility," Drew yelled as he ran towards me, tossing me over his shoulder and carrying me to the car.
