»» Hunter
My stomachs flurries with giddiness now that my life is basically complete because I actually talked to one of my all time favorite authors and she liked me!
I continue to smile throughout my boarding and as I sit down in my seat. My fingers curl around the edge of my book with her signature inside, it's now one of my most prized possessions.
"Thank you, thank you!" I hear a girl cheer.
I don't bother to look but keep my head down and stare at the black ink with swirly letters forming Mae Carter's name.
"Ugh, is this by any chance seat fourteen?" A familiar voice wonders.
Finally I glance up to look at her?!
Mae Carter stands beside my chair, a duffle in her arms and her phone in her other hand. She now has her hair swiped up in a tall ponytail, which has changed from the pretty down curls she had a few hours ago, and her very attractive clothes were changed for a pair of jeans and a loose sweater, matched with comfortable boots.
"Oh my gosh." I gawk.
She laughs, "hey it's you! Hunter right? Sorry, I am terrible with names."
I chuckle along with her, "it's okay, so am I. But uh yeah, this is seat fourteen. Is it yours?"
"Well I wouldn't have asked for it if it wasn't mine." She winks and smiles.
I laugh again, "yeah, I guess so."
The intercom begins to gurgle out static, "thank you passengers for flying with us today, we will be taking off shortly."
Mae sighs and leans back in her chair but whips her head to face me, "I'm bored and we haven't even taken off yet."
I grin, "aww you poor thing."
She finally smirks at me, "haha funny. At least you're not like shy towards me anymore."
"What do you mean?" I raise an eyebrow.
"See when you first met me, you were this awkward, quiet fan, but now you are getting comfortable with me, which is way better than, like for example, sitting next to someone who is silent and just stares at you the entire plane ride because trust me, it's weird, I should know, it happened on my last flight." She explains, waving her hands in motions throughout her talking.
I chuckle, "wow. So I was awkward?"
"Don't feel ashamed, it happens all the time. But just know, besides having my name on a few books and some crazy book tours, I'm seriously normal, well at least as normal as my best friends can make it." She smiles softly at the mention of her friends.
"So what's your story? Since you're so boring?" I tease.
She giggles, "hey! I never said I was boring, just an ordinary life you could say."
My lips curl up, "okay then. But I have to ask again, what's your story?"
She smiles like me, "well if you have time, then I'd love to tell you."
"I've got five hours, shoot."
And soon enough, I'm drowned in a story full of the girl I find cute and adorable.
