Mae Carter isn't exactly one who's been lucky in the love department. With her past love gone and miles away, she's given the chance to start over. A famous book, book tours, and crazy friend schedules, may keep her busy for the time being. But when...
Squeals erupt from the girls every few minutes, having me giggle at them. They take turns doing each other's make up and the stylist does Sabrina's hair. Her long blonde hair is curled and is slipped up in a bun, some strands are tied in braids. Her make up is already done, very simple, just concealer, lipstick, mascara and silver eyeshadow.
All three of my besties have the same hairstyle and make up routine, while they all have matching dresses as well. The dresses are very pretty if I do say so myself, sheer white with crossed backs. They wear navy heels to go with it and our nails are all done in French manicures.
It's funny because I feel like I'm back at Madison's wedding. Only this time, I'm the bride.
Today is finally my wedding day, after months of preparing, today is here! I'm scared, happy, nervous, excited, everything and more.
I close my eyes and think back to the day Hunter proposed to me. We were all hanging out at the park, when Hunter took me away to the dock where he first asked me out. There, he kneeled down and showed me the ring and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes and when I did I got an earful of screams from my friends and cheers as well. That is one of the happiest days of my life.
"Mae, you ready?" Christina asks, looking to me.
I nod my head confidently, "I am."

"And do you, Hunter William Hayes, take Mae Kaylee Carter to be your lawfully wedded wife?" The preacher asks.
Hunter smiles at me, "I do."
"And do you, Mae Kaylee Carter, take Hunter William Hayes to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do." I confirm.
"Good, now by the power invested in me, I declare you two, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Before Hunter kisses me, I stop him. I pull out ten dollars from my pockets (yeah! I have pockets in my wedding dress! Be jealous!) and hand it to him.
"You win." I giggle.
He takes it with a smirk on his face and then passionately kisses me as cheers from family and friends erupt.

"Time for your first dance Mae!" My sister playfully says and pushes me towards Hunter.
I laugh and let Hunter catch me easily, everyone turning around to watch us dance.
The song Diamonds by Raelynn plays softly in the background as we step in patterns on the dance floor outside. We smile at one another and soon enough I have my head rest lazily on his chest.
Everyone from my family is here, my besties and their boyfriends or husbands, and to top it all off, Carson and his new girlfriend is here as well! Nothing could make today better.
"This is perfect." I cheekily mention into Hunter's button up shirt.
His chest ripples as he chuckles, "it is. I love you."
"I love you too." I say in a hushed voice, and everything suddenly just is beyond perfect.
