Hunter

"Hey guys, the girls are having a girls night at the church! Look!" I show the guys my phone screen of Mae's selfie with Christina, Madison, and Kaitlyn.

All of the guys, Carson, Toby, Ryan, and Bailey smile at the screen. Four out of five of us has our girlfriend adorably smiling in the photo.

"You know what, those girls are waaaay to comfortable there." Carson says.

Toby smirks along, "you know what, they do seem really unguarded there."

The two best friends have a plan, a plan I'm most likely going to agree with.

"Alright, so Bailey, go ahead and turn the lights on and then turn them off." Toby whispers.

We're now at the church, planning our evil prank on the girls. Somehow, the janitor was just leaving as we were coming and we convinced him to let us in. He was an older dude that understood young love and applauded our antics.

"Go!" Carson says.

Bailey flickers the lights on in the worship center, leaving them on in the end so the girls would get suspicious.

"Ugh, I can't believe these lights." Madison yells over to the girls on the stage.

"Madison, this church is kinda old, random stuff like this will happen." Mae tells her.

"Or it could be a ghost!" Kaitlyn squeals.

"Please! Kaitlyn! We don't believe in ghosts." Christina shouts.

We all chuckle under our breathes, they have no idea!

"Quick! Whistle Hunter!" Tony instructs.

I whistle a haunted tune, the girls laughing.

"Ugh, I can't believe the creepy stuff that go on here!" Mae giggles.

"Ugh, you know what? It be even weirder if the guys came and scared us!" Kaitlyn suggested, all of them laughing at that statement.

This has all of us boys on the floor, dying of laughter.

"Turn off all the lights Ryan." Carson states.

He does so, creating the entire auditorium to turn pitch black. The girls don't start freaking out but they get cautious.

All five of us start walking down the isle, creeping up on them.

"Where's the flash light?!" Madison asks loudly.

"I don't know!" Kaitlyn answers.

Huddled together, Toby begins to count down, "three - two - ONE!"

We jump on stage and shout out "BOO!"

All you hear for a good thirty seconds are screams from all four girls.

"WHO THE HECK IS IN HERE?!" Christina shrieks.

"Carson, flip the lights!" I call out.

Carson turns his flash light on and runs to the back to turn on all the lights. Soon enough, the bulbs illuminate the room, presenting four, frightened girls.

"HUNTER?! BAILEY?! TOBY?! RYAN?!" They all squeal.

"And yours truly!" Carson smugly says, stepping up on the stage.

Mae throws her wrapped up Chick-fil-A sandwich bag at him.

"Shut up." She giggles.

I walk over to her, a little jealousy flaring in my chest that she responded to Carson before me, and sit down next to her. She scowls at means whacks my arm lightly.

"I hate you."

"Love you too." I smirk.

"Wait - what?!" Christina interrupts.

Seeing my mistake, I begin to stutter, "oh! Well - I mean! No! What?!"

Mae giggles quietly and just takes hold of my hand, giving me reassurance.

All the other girls stand up to talk to their guys, Christina threatening to kill Toby and Carson, she knew right away it was their plan. Obviously since they're the two evil brothers basically.

"You are devious and awful, why do I like you?" Mae teases.

I grin wide, "my character and charming smile just dazzle you!"

"Dazzle? Funny." She rolls her eyes but I kiss her cheek and she just laughs.

After staying at the church for another thirty minutes, we all go to our cars outside, talking in one big group.

"Well, thanks to you guys, our girls night, turned into a multi gender night." Christina groans but a small smile tugs at her lips.

"You are very welcome." Toby nuzzles her cheek, Christina pretends to be disgusted but she secretly loves it.

We all say goodnight to each other, but when Mae tries to walk away, I grab her wrist.

"Wait, are you okay? Did we go too far?" I wonder.

She grins, "no! I'm perfectly fine."

"Okay, and so - um . . . can we just put that whole 'I love you' thing behind us?" I shyly question.

Her smile threatens to drop but it doesn't, "of course. Goodnight."

She kisses me on the lips, quick and sweet then skips to Christina's car, jumping in the back.

I watch them pull out before I'm dragged by Ryan, "cmon dude. Back to the apartment!"
