Chapter Eleven
Penny’s POV:
I shooed Colton out of the room and faced Clover. “You know you scared the crap out of him right?” I said giggling.
“Yup, and that’s the way I like it,” She said smirking. She grabbed an outfit and threw it at me. “Here, put this on, we have lots of shopping to do,” I pulled on the jean shorts and under armour tee shirt. “Woah woah woah,” Clover said putting her hands up in front of me.
“What?” I asked looking at her as I pulled on my sneakers.
“What do you call this?” She asked pulling on my shirt.
“A shirt,” I said looking at her raising an eyebrow.
“No, no, no,” She said tugging it up and over my head and throwing it in the corner.
“Hey! What’s wrong with that shirt!” I said looking over at her as she dug through my drawers.
“Here,” She said throwing another shirt at me. It was a tight tank top that started white at the top and slowly became baby blue at the bottom.
“What was wrong with my other shirt?” I asked, slipping the new shirt on.
“It was was dull, it was not becoming and it has a hole in it,” She said grabbing her purse and walked to the door.
“You comin?” She asked over her shoulder as walked into the hallway. I just shook my head, grabbed my handbag and followed her out.
“There they are,” Aunt Claire said to who ever else was in the kitchen.
“Good morning,” Clover and I said at the same time. I went over to kiss Aunt Claire good morning.
“Where are you two goin?” She asked looking at us.
“Shopping wanna come?” I invited her knowing my Aunt had good taste in close and would give you good feedback.
“I’d love to,” She said, “Let me go change, I’ll be down in five minutes. I’ll drive,”
“Do I get to come or is this a girl thing?” Colton said over by the kitchen table.
“Eh, more of a girl thing. I mean, unless you plan on trying on bikini’s with us,” Clover said shrugging. I laughed when he just grumbled and walked to the basement door before disappearing down the steps.
“Alright girls, you ready?” Aunt Claire said bouncing down the steps.
“Yup, lets go,” I said walking out the door behind her with Clover right on my heels.
“I already have a few places we can go to in mind. Is there anything specific we are looking for?” She asked as we all climbed into her car.
“Yup, we need bikinis and summer dresses,” Clover said looping her arm through mine in the back seat. I looked over and smiled.
“Oh I know just the place!” Aunt Claire said excitedly as she pulled out of the driveway.
Aunt Claire turned on the radio and we sung the whole way to a little shop. We parked and got out, walking silently to the entrance we entered to a ding of a bell. It smelled like freshly picked flowers and new clothes. I looked around and felt at home.
“Hey Claire!” The clerk said behind the cash register, walking over to us waving, “How have you been?” She asked giving Aunt Claire a hug.
