Chapter Twenty One
Penny’s POV:
I was happily dancing with Colton when all of a sudden I felt hands grab my shoulders and tear me away from him. I stumbled to the floor and look up only to Sarah. God why won’t she just give up on him already?
I could feel my face heat up as she placed herself right where I had been but found that Colton pushed her off of him and helped me up.
I said “What the hell was that for?” and smoothed over my now wrinkly gown.
“I’m the only one that can dance with Colton,” She said and shrugged making my blood boil.
“I’m sorry but you dumped him, he’s mine now bitch,” I said surprising myself with my hostility.
Sarah’s mouth popped open. Before she could say anything else, I grabbed Colton’s hand and led him over to our table. The slow song was done anyway. It was now replaced by a popular song and had everyone dancing to it.
“I can not believe that just happened,” Colton said and chuckled.
“Yeah, me either,” I grumbled. She just better stay away from Colton or there are going to be some serious problems. And I thought she was here with Ryan’s brother, Tristan?
“You said I was yours,” He smirked and I blushed. I did say that.
Instead of answering, I pulled him down for a kiss. Ryan cleared his throat, while Clover came over and said, “You listen up, because I’m only going to say this once. You break Penny’s heart like you did the other day, I can be in Texas I will hop a plane and be here faster than you can say “I ate too much butter” to push your eyes so far down your throat you’ll have to lift up your feet to see,”
Colton’s face went pale and he actually looked threatened by her. I don’t blame him, he’s seen the side of her not many people see.
I laughed before I got drug back out to the dancefloor by Clover. “Tell me everything, I just saw what happened with that Sarah bitch. She’s just lucky I didn’t get over to her or else this wedding would have went downhill fast,” Clover said and I had no doubts that she would have smacked Sarah. As much as I wanted to, I don’t want anyone to get physically hurt here.
I nodded and didn’t say anything just concentrating on dancing. Within a few minutes some guy around our age came up to us, “Hi ladies,” He said looking us up and down. He was short, maybe an inch taller then I was without heels on. He had brown curly hair and had a skinny frame.
“I’m Tristan, Ryan’s brother,” He said joining us dancing, “Can I get you anything to drink?” He asked looking at me and paying no attention to Clover. He must know Ryan’s here with her.
“Yes, I’ll take a martini and she’ll have the same,” Clover said not even bothering to ask me. I’ve never had a martini before, I’m not even suppose to be drinking, I’m not even 18 yet.
“Oh, lighten up,” Clover said after she saw my face. I frowned but didn’t say anything.
Sooner than I had liked, Tristan brought over two martinis and gave each of us one as we took a sip. Hmm not that bad, I thought to myself as I took another sip.
Before I knew it I had the whole thing down and was feeling funny. I couldn’t see straight, the whole room was spinning. That’s not right, I only had half a beer and a martini, I couldn’t be drunk. Clover drug me back out to the dance floor and started dancing. Colton came out and danced with us and then I blanked out. I remember nothing after that.
