Chapter Thirty Six
Penny’s POV:
I woke up in my bed. It was the first good night’s sleep I’ve had in days. I yawned and stretched before I got up. I went to the bathroom and brushed my hair and teeth.
I threw on a pair of sweatpants and made my way downstairs. Smelling coffee I smiled to myself. I walked in and saw Trevor, Gavin and Colton leaning against the counter while Clover was wrapped in Ryan’s arms.
“Good morning everyone,” I said groggily and went over to kiss Colton. He smiled lightly and watched me make a cup of coffee.
“I can’t wait to get started on this party!” Clover said excitedly. I couldn’t wait either, I needed this.
“I know,” I said leaning on Colton’s chest as he wrapped his arms around me and rested his chin on my head.
“Well you have all day alone because dad’s at work and me and Gavin are going to go surfing,” Trevor said downing the rest of his coffee and walked up to the stairs.
“Come on! Let’s go get started,” Clover said pulling me out of Colton’s arms as he chuckled and reluctantly followed us into the computer room. I took a seat on the loveseat against the wall and moved over so Colton could sit. Ryan and Clover came and Ryan sat Clover down on his lap on the computer chair.
“Okay so we need your help on family friends and friends,” Clover said turning the computer on.
After around an hour we had a long list of people who have been to the past BBQ’s and new friends we were all sitting around and just talking.
“Alright I’m going to go make some lunch,” Clover said getting up and walking out of the room with Ryan following. I looked up at Colton and smiled.
He leaned down and kissed me, “I love you,” I said with my eyes closed before I realized what I said. My eyes shot open and I gasped. I did NOT just say that!
“It’s okay, I love you too,” Colton said leaning down again. Relaxing into the kiss Clover and Ryan walked back in.
“I will wrap you around the mailbox and use you as a dartboard if you don’t stop sucking on her face,” Clover said calmly walking over and smacking the back of his head. I chuckled and stood up.
“I’m going to get a shower, I feel disgusting,” I declared and walked to my room. I can’t believe I told Colton I loved him.
************
Colton’s POV:
I watched her walk up the stairs and smiled to myself. She loves me. I’m a little upset I didn’t get to say it to her first though.
“What are you smirking at pretty boy?” Clover said raising an eyebrow. I thought of something else to bring up and thought of her birthday gift.
“I was just thinking of her birthday gift,” I said to which she lighted up.
“Tell me, what are you thinking of getting her?” Clover said excitedly.
“Well I WANTED to put a collage together of me and her and every place we went to but that was sadly interrupted. I did end up getting pictures of us at the amusement park though,” I said thinking out loud.
“Put a collage together of that and get her a necklace or something,” She said.
“Right! I will,” I said smiling, glad I got a good idea of what to do. If this won’t blow her away, I don’t know what will.
