Chapter Thirty One

Penny’s POV:

Pulling up to the hotel I looked at it. It was huge. Walking over to the trunk he grabbed two bags and led me into the lobby. On the right was a bunch of tables and small couches. In the middle was a high table with stools around it. Looking to the right was a sign in desk with a man sitting behind it playing on his phone.

Colton walked up to him and cleared his throat, “Hi, I would like to sign in,” He said making the man look up from his phone.

I left Colton to explore the first floor. I first walked into the dining hall. On one wall was a flat screen TV playing ESPN and on the other wall there was abstract paintings.

“Thank you,” Colton said and I walked back into the lobby, “Ready?” He asked looking at me smiling.

“Yup,” I said smiling back at him. He walked straight back to the elevators and pressed the up button. It only took a minute before the elevator was here. When they opened, the two people I would have never thought to see at that moment stepped out of the elevator. Both Colton and I stared wide eyed at who was standing in front of us.

“Colton! Funny to find you here,” Sarah said flirtatiously. How the hell did she find out we would be here?!

“Sarah,” He said looking away while pulling me to his side.

“What is she doing here?” She asked looking at me. I could feel my face getting red but I held my tongue knowing nothing good would come out of my mouth.

“Funny, I could ask the same to you,” Colton spat.

“We,” Tristan said, “Are here because we had another wedding to attend,” He said reluctantly pulling her to his side. I could tell she didn’t like the action but didn’t fight it.

I looked up at Colton’s face to see his was just as red as mine felt, “Colton,” I said in a warning tone, knowing nothing good was going to happen tonight.

“Excuse us,” He said harshly, pushing us between them into the elevator before it closed. When we were in the elevator alone both of us let out a huge breath.

“What the hell just happened?” I said still shaking from our encounter.

“I don’t know and I don’t know how they found out we were here but I’m going to get to the bottom of it, until then lets just relax,” He said taking a deep breath.

“I like the sound of that,” I said pulling him to me in a hug.

When the door opened we stepped out and Colton led us down a long hallway with a bunch of doors. He stopped in front of one of them at the end and swiped our room key. The door clicked open and he pushed the door open. He let me walk in before him. Hitting a light switched, I looked around. There was mirror on the right as soon as you walked in. In between the mirror there was a door that led into what must have been the bathroom. The room also had a small flat screen tv on top of a dresser, next to a desk. In the middle of the room there was a king sized bed with a white comforter and four big fluffy pillows.

“What do you think?” Colton asked walking fully into the room and dropping the bags.

“I love it!” I said overly happy, momentarily forgetting about what just happened in the lobby.

“Good. Get changed,” he said digging through my bag and throwing one of my bathing suits at me. Startled I caught it and looked at it.

“What?” I asked.

“Theres an indoor pool downstairs, we’re going swimming,” He said smirking walking into the bathroom holding his own bathing suit, shutting the door behind him.

I quickly undressed and threw my bathing suit on before he could open the door and see me completely naked.

Slipping my clothes over my bathing suit, spread my arms out like a scarecrow and fell backward on the bed. The white, fluffiness surrounded me and I closed my eyes. Hearing the door open, I opened my eyes and saw Colton, shirtless chuckling at me.

“What?” I asked laughing, sitting up.

“Nothing, come on,” He said taking my hand, grabbing one of our room keys and walking out of the room.

We were soon downstairs, stripping to our bathing suits in the pool area.

“You first,” I said as he jumped in, doing a cannon ball.

Laughing I jumped in right behind him, raising to the surface to breath. When my head popped up, I was unexpectedly greeted with Colton’s lips on mine. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck.

There was a cough from the other side of the pool area and we both pulled away from the kiss to find Sarah fuming and Tristan looking pretty awkward. I would have laughed at Tristan’s expression if it wasn’t for the fact that I hated him to a point of no return.

Everyone just looked at each other for what seemed like an eternity before Sarah stripped. She wasn’t even wearing a bathing suit, she was in a lacy bra that barely covered anything and a lacy thong to match.

I could sense my face getting red as I looked at Colton’s expression to find him and Tristan gawking at her. Breathing in deeply I said, “You really are a slut, aren’t you?” I said getting everyone to look over at me. Sarah snapped her head looking at me, her face red.

“Well look who’s talking,” She said dropping her clothes, “I wasn’t the one just sucking on Colton’s face, now was I?” She said smirking thinking she got me. I scoffed.

“At least I don’t have to strip to almost nothing to get a guys attention,” I said getting the reaction out of her that I was looking for.

She hissed and jumped into the pool, almost right on top of me if Colton hadn’t grabbed me from my waist and dragged me quickly to the other side of the pool. Her head popped out of the pool.

“Now are you afraid of a little fight?” She said growling at me. I looked at her disgusted.

“No, but I at least have the common sense not to get with another guy to try to make anyone else jealous,” I said as Colton pulled me out of the pool and grabbed our clothes, carrying me out of the pool area.

“Calm down,” Colton whispered in my ear as I fumed. No one had the right to talk to me like that, especially her.
