"Ella.."

I never imagined hearing my name could be so sweet-sounding. I always hated that name because it always remind me of the girl who used to be innocent, carefree, full of fun and happy but life killed her. Life took out her energy.

"Wake up, baby.."

I slowly opened my eyes and the sun's rays blinded me for a second before I can finally grasp the full image of the man in front of me, the man who called me. I didn't move, I-I couldn't move.

I thought he's dead? I thought he was gone? Mabilis akong umupo sa kinahihigaan ko para mapantayan siya't mayakap. The moment he landed on my arms, that's the time I believed that there's hope. May pag-asa pa para sa aming mga taong maagang pinatay dahil sa sobrang sakit ng pinagdadaanan.

I tightened my embrace. Hinigpitan ko ng sobra kahit alam kong medyo nasasaktan siya. Gusto ko iparamdam sa kaniya na ayoko na siyang pakawalan. I don't want to lose Bryan again.

"I thought you left me," pag-uumpisa ko.

I let my tears fall down, I want to let pain escape with my tears.

I want to feel him. I want to know if this is really happening. Natatakot ako na baka isa lamang itong panaginip at totoo ang kung ano mang puntod ang nasaksihan ko kanina.

Mas lalo akong naiyak dahil sa sinabi niya. He loves me and he will never leave me alone... I want to believe on those words but the 13 years he was gone make me doubt it.

I looked at him straight in the eyes. I can see from the mirror of his soul are the pain and the longing he's been feeling this time. Bakit ka nawala? Bakit mo ako iniwan? Where did you go? I want to ask him those words but my mouth can't open, it's like someone sew it.

"I will never leave you alone by yourself. I will always protect and love you.." He said before touching my belly. I was stunned.

"We will always love you unconditionally, Ella. We will." He said while looking at my tummy.

I got dizzy suddenly and hindi ko na alam ang sunod na nangyari. Basta't naramdaman ko nalang ang pananakit ng ulo. I heard the clashing of some stainless things that made me woke up. Wait a minute. Did everything that happened minutes ago are just a dream?

A lady in a blue and white clothes was standing in front of me. Her full attention was in the notebook, not until she caught my eyes. Agad niya akong nilapitan. I can see her mouth opening but I can't hear a word she's saying. I shook my head and that's the time I heard her.

"Finally, you're awake now!" She said with an enthusiastic tone.
