Never turn back

A few hours later, Shadow woke up from consciousness, and felt his head.
"Oh right," he began. "I almost forgot why I was here. That pathetic Silver threw me here. I'm definitely gonna kill him soon."
He got to his feet, and walks around. It was dark at night. He then remembered what happened a few hours ago with what Sonic, Silver, Amy, and Tails were doing. He then remembered the look in that female hedgehog's eyes when he talked to her. He remembered the tears in her eyes. It reminded her of Amy.
"Like I said before...I didn't mean to make her cry. I didn't mean to make anyone cry," he began. "Certainly that wasn't...no...that's impossible. That couldn't be Maria," he started shaking his head. "Either it was me, or...what am I talking about? I put the past behind me. And I will never ever turn back again.

Shadow:

He skated off more until he heard sniffling. He turned and saw the same gold and blue hedgehog from earlier. When he was looking at the back of her, it did actually remind him of Maria.  He walked slowly towards her, and heard her voice.
"I guess I'm stuck down here...," she said. "I thought...this place was good.... But...I feel bad for leaving Shadow down here.... I wish...I wish I could tell him how sorry I was...."
Shadow heard her and he sniffled. When Maria turned back, she gasped and saw him.
