Party Time

Ivy's POV

Saturday arrived and I headed to Calum's house that evening with the guitar under my arm in it's case. Calum's sister answered and I felt instantly under dressed she looked beautiful like she always did "Hey Ivy! I'm glad you came, Do you play?" She asked pointing to the guitar in my hand "Oh no this is mine and Michaels present for Cal" I told her passing as she stood aside for me to walk in "Oh that's so great of you! He'll love it" She said smiling at me. She then led me into the sitting room I'd only been in once with Kylie so it felt kind of strange.

Michael wasn't there yet even though I'd told him to be there at 7 it was now 7.15 and we were all getting a bit restless because Calum was due home at 7.30. There was a knock at the door and everyone ran around looking for a place to hide but I thought that if it was Calum surely he would have his own key but I hid along with everyone else anyway.

I heard talking and then footsteps coming towards us the light was switched on and everyone jumped up yelling "Surprise" only to see Michael with a shocked face "Oh my gosh, My birthday is in November. Your late but thank you so much" He said grinning I rolled my eyes "I told you to be here at 7 Michael" I scolded as he came to stand beside me "Is it not 7 now?" He asked looking to his watch on his arm "Oh. Well sorry, I haven't missed anything its fine" He said laughing lightly I sighed "We used a perfectly good surprise on you" I told him looking up at him I tried to stay serious but couldn't help but smile with him as his grin widened "What's this?" A voice called at the door everyone turned to see Calum standing with a confused look on his face "Surprise" Michael shouted popping a party popper at him "Calum your not supposed to be home until half past" Mali said hitting his shoulder "It is half past" Calum said showing her his phone her face fell "Damn. Well surprise Calum" She said grinning and pulling him in for a hug "I can't believe your eighteen" She said shaking her head he smiled at her before turning to us "Thanks for trying to surprise me?" He asked laughing lightly "Well we wasted a good surprise on Michael thinking it was you so you can blame him" I told him he looked over at me "Your here! Hey" He said walking over and hugging me tightly "Of course I'm here why wouldn't I be?" I asked he shook his head "Never mind, Hey Michael thanks for coming" He said turning to Michael and hugging him too "Wait there" Michael squealed before he ran off Calum turned to me I shook my head knowing where he was running off to.

Michael came back with the guitar in his hand "Your going to play me a song?" Calum asked him Michael shook his head handing the guitar to him "Happy Birthday Calum, I'm sorry it's not wrapped" I told him Calum looked up at me "It was you?" He asked "It's from both of us" Michael said excitedly "Oh your buying couple presents already?" Calum asked "What?" I asked Michael hit Calum hard "Shut up before I take it back" He warned smiling at him "Alright" Calum said leaning the guitar case on the table and flicking the latches open on both ends of the case his face dropped when his eyes fell on the black guitar and my heart began to race "You don't like it do you? Shit well I guess we can swap it? Or you could sell and buy what you want? I'm sorry Calum, Michael really thought that's what you wanted" The words spilled out of my mouth quickly Calum looked to Michael with tears in his eyes "I can't believe you" He said grinning and pulling him into another what looked like a bone crushing hug "So you do like it?" I asked still unsure what was going on Calum stood away from Michael this time coming to me putting his hands on my shoulders "This guitar just means a lot to me, Ivy. Thank you so much" He said kissing my cheek I felt myself blush and was glad no one brought it up "It was all Michael. We were searching for like 4 days straight for the perfect gift when Michael spotted that in the music shop in town" I told him smiling at him Calum turned back to the guitar flicking the strings playfully.

As the night drew in more and more people came in to the house most of them I didn't know they were mostly from Calum and Michael's school. Calum's mum and sister had gone out and hadn't come back yet so the new comers to the party took that as incentive to bring out the alcohol they'd brought with them. I groaned and thought about going home, I'd never been into drinking or people who drank for that matter.

Michael had stood beside me the whole night watching everyone else I stood up on my toes to shout in his ear above the music "You go and have fun with your friends, I'm going to go home" He shook his head "Their not my friends, Their not Calum's either. Don't leave yet come upstairs with me" He shouted back I lifted an eyebrow at him he laughed at me grabbing my wrist and guiding us through the crowd of people I looked for Calum but he was taking shots off of a girl who was laid on the kitchen table so I guessed he wouldn't want to join us. I decided to bring Calum's guitar up with us in case someone decided they where the new Jimmi Hendrix.
