Michaels POV

I wasn't sure how long I sat at Cara's grave for but when I looked up the sky was turning orange. The sunrise was Cara's favourite time of the day I remember watching the sunrise with her for the first time.

We'd been out all night just driving around in my car until she gave me directions that I didn't recognise but I still took the directions and we stopped by a small beach.

Cara quickly unbuckled her seat belt and hopped out of the car "Come on, Mikey. We're going to miss it" She shouted waving her hands as she ran away down the beach. I chuckled lightly shaking my head as I watched her disappear around the corner before getting out of the car and jogging to catch up with her.

When I caught up to her she was already laying down on the sand leaning back on her elbows her bleached white blonde hair blowing slightly in the slight wind "You're crazy. What are we here for?" I asked as I sat down behind her pulling so she was laid across my legs I let my fingers get lost in her hair tangling the short hairs around my fingers.

"The sunrise, Mikey. This is the best place to watch it" Cara said leaning her head back meeting my eyes with her beautiful brown eyes "How do you know about this place?" I asked "I've only been here once. It was beautiful, I wanted it to be a special memory for us" She said shrugging moving her gaze back to the calm ocean ahead of us.

Sure enough the sun began to slowly rise and Cara was right it was truly stunning. I knew it was one of those moments I wouldn't forget for a long time.

Of course I hadn't forgotten. I just needed reminding that she was still there, always in the back of my mind. The more I thought of her the more I missed her. I stood up wiping the tears that had begun to pour from my eyes and I touched the headstone once more before walking away.

Once I got home and Calum was standing outside my house knocking on the door he was dressed in his school uniform. I'd completely forgotten about school starting again he must've been knocking because I never called him back last night. I hid behind a wall until I knew he had gone not in the mood for any form of communication with anyone, not even Calum.
