Michaels POV

I hadn't been in contact with Ivy in a few days, I'd tried calling and texting her but she hadn't answered so I decided to go around to her house.

Once again I found myself standing at the end of her long driveway second questioning myself whether I should actually go or not. I decided that I may as well go now that I'd come all this way. I walked up the pathway and knocked twice on the large front door and waited for someone to answer. A woman I didn't recognise answered the door I had yet to meet either of Ivy's parents so I guessed this was her mother.

The woman looked me up and down quickly before speaking "Hello" She said more of a questioning tone than a greeting "Hi, I'm Michael. I was looking for Ivy?" I asked in my politest tone "Oh. Wait there" She said closing the door leaving me standing outside.

After a few minutes the door opened again and Ivy stepped out closing the door behind her "Michael" She said sighing "Hey is your phone broken or" I asked awkwardly trailing off "No I just needed a few days to figure out what I wanted to say to you" She said stopping to look up at me "What about?" I asked her trying to keep her eyes on mine but she looked down at the ground

"Who is Cara Jones?" I felt the colour drain from my face and felt my hands begin to shake slightly I gulped. I hadn't heard that name in a long time, no one dared to talk about her when I was around anymore after everything that had happened.

"Why?" I managed to spit out "Why can't you just tell me? What is the big secret that everyone has to hide about her? Calum wouldn't tell me when I asked and neither would Kylie" She huffed "Kylie?" I asked quickly "Yes Michael. Kylie, She told me I should ask you about her so why won't you answer my question?" Ivy asked "Kylie had no right talking to you about her. She doesn't know anything" I could hear my voice rising so I stopped just shaking my head "I didn't know you two knew each other so well" She said slowly "Oh I know her alright" I told her "Michael, I don't know why you can't just tell me. I've told you everything about me I thought you'd have done the same" She said stepping away from me "Ivy, wait. You don't understand"

"Then help me" She said turning to me again "I can't" My voice barely came out in a whisper she just shook her head and walked away from me. I almost begged her to come back and tell her everything but I didn't.

Ivy's POV

I knew that I would have to see Michael at some point. I couldn't just keep ignoring him as he had done to me not that long ago. I was sitting on the couch doing some outstanding homework when there was a knock on the door my mother was home for once so I stayed seated and let her answer.

After a few minutes she walked into the sitting room "Someone for you" She said I sighed and stood up "Get rid of him. He makes the place look untidy" She said in her usual snooty tone as I walked past her I rolled my eyes and walked past her. I couldn't think who it could be, I guessed my mother wouldn't approve of any of the friends I'd made in the past few weeks but I was surprised to see Michael standing waiting for me.

I hadn't expected my conversation with Michael to go so badly. I wanted to know who this girl was that made him clam up so badly just with the mention of her name. I'd always been truthful to Michael when he'd asked me about my past and I'd always just assumed that he was doing the same to me but I was completely unaware that he was hiding something from me.

I received a text message a few minutes after Michael had left

'I get it if you don't want to see me anymore but you have to understand why I can't tell you' The message read

'Well help me to understand, Michael. Why can't you tell me after I've told you EVERYTHING?' I quickly replied

'I just can't. It's in my past and I want to leave it there, I don't talk about it. I never have since it happened it makes me feel worse than I already do about it'

I was still angry and hurt that he hadn't told me so I quickly typed back a reply

'Fine. What ever, Michael. And you're right. I don't want to see you anymore.  If I cant trust you what's the point?'

I didn't receive a reply from him so I just left it. I regretted being mean to Michael straight away I wanted to call him and take it all back but something stopped me.
