Revelation

I instantly regretted going for a walk when I spotted Kylie and Luke walking towards me. Kylie was clung to Luke's side as if his shirt was glued to her face.

I tried to hide turning my back on them but Kylie must've saw me "Ivy" She called my shoulders dropped and I cursed under my breath before turning to her "Kylie" I said my voice sounded too high pitched so I cleared my throat she stood in front of me and Luke was standing behind her slightly his hands dug into his pockets "Luke told me about the fire are you okay? " She asked looking at me with a hint of pity in her eyes I shrugged "It was nothing really. I'm fine" I replied "Yeah of course. Listen can we meet up tomorrow or something? I'd love to sort all this rubbish out Ivy. We shouldn't have let Calum come inbetween us. Especially after what his friend did to Luke" She said looking behind her at Luke who had taken his phone out now and was messing about with it

"What do you mean? What friend?" I asked shaking her out of her daydream as she stared at Luke she looked back at me "Michael? He beat the crap out of Luke last week" She sighed "Some stranger found him and brought him to hospital. You didn't know?" She asked biting the inside of her cheek like she always did when she knew she'd said something she shouldn't have I shook my head "No I didn't" I said.

I walked over to Luke "Michael beat you up that night?" I asked quickly his eyes shot up from his phone to meet mine "Er yeah" He said slowly "I thought you said you didn't know who it was?" I questioned not caring that Kylie had now joined us "I didn't, I mean I don't know him but when I described him to Kylie she said she knew him" He said looking at Kylie smiling I looked to the floor "I think you're wrong. Michael would never beat someone up. Why would he beat you up he doesn't even know you" I said quickly "You obviously don't know him as well as you thought you did" Luke said smugly I shook my head "I do know him" I said mostly to myself or at least I thought I did.

I didn't wait for Kylie to talk anymore before I walked away from them.

Surely what they were saying wasn't true.  Why would Michael have any reason to do anything to Luke never mind beat him up. He'd only seen him once across the shopping centre.
