I knew convincing Calum and Michael to come to Ashton's party would be a hard task but I didn't think it would be this difficult "Please? I can't go on my own" I sighed watching as Calum looked at Michael who was staring down at his lap "Don't go then" Michael said he hadn't looked me in the eye since I'd brought up the party "Calum" I said giving him my full attention after deciding that he would be the easiest to convince out of the two for now.

Calum let out a long sign but nodded his head "Fine" He finally said I tried not to let my lips turn into a smile "Only so you don't have to go alone" He added poking my arm with his finger "Thank you" I practically screamed at him he rolled his eyes but laughed at me before looking to Michael "Mikey?" He asked pouting his lip slightly but Michael wouldn't look at him "Out of all people, Calum, you should know why I won't go so don't try to force me" Michael said raising his voice slightly before standing up and walking away from us. Both Calum and I sighed at the same time "Well we'll have fun just the two of us huh?" I asked trying to lighten the mood Calum flashed me a half smile and nodded "Sure we will"

Ashton and I had been texting back and forth since our meeting just a couple of days ago but up to now I had still been unsure whether I would be going to the party or not. I had no real idea of who Ashton was only that, after Calum had jogged my memory about mentioning him once to me before when we spoke about Michael and Calum making a real go of music and asking Ashton to be in their band with them to be the drummer.

That never happened though because Calum said Michael and Ashton had a falling out and Ashton rejected the offer to be in the band with him.

Calum didn't digress any other details on the 'falling out' but Ashton had seemed eager for Michael to come along to the party when we spoke so I was slightly confused but I wasn't going to push for any other details.

We both decided that Michael needed a little bit of time to cool off before either of us went in search for him so we went for food.

"So you and Luke?" Calum asked raising an eyebrow I felt my cheeks instantly flush at the memory "I..er..we.." I stuttered not really knowing what to say "You fucked" Calum said casually with a shrug of his shoulder "What?" I choked on the coke that I was drinking "I was just playing but due to your reaction I'm thinking I was dead on" He said winking at me I groaned and let my head fall to rest on the table "Its okay, Ivy. I'm not judging. I'm just.. surprised that's all" He said I sat back up straight and watched him "I really don't want to talk about it" I whined taking another bite of the food in front of me "Was he that bad?" He joked with a laugh "I haven't heard from him since so  guessing I was" I told him his eyebrows furrowed "You mean you had sex and he hasn't even called you since?" He asked softly I nodded slightly ashamed at what I was admitting "That's fucked up" He stated falling back against the back of the booth I nodded but didn't say anything else.

Calum decided that because he paid for lunch that I owed it to him to look for Michael while he just sat and waited for us to return so off I went.

It took me a while but eventually I found him, he was just sitting alone staring into space and I wondered how long he'd been here. I walked over and sat myself down beside him but he didn't seem to notice so I nudged my shoulder into his "Hey" I said quietly when I felt his eyes on me "Hey" He replied in the same hushed tone "I'm sorry for running off" He said turning his body more to face me I shrugged "You should be, You missed food" I told him smiling he clicked his fingers in fake frustration "Damn it" He shouted making others walking along turn to look at him but he didn't seem to notice or if he did he didn't seem to care.

Neither of us spoke for a while just watching the people walk past us "So about that party" Michael said slowly "Its fine. You don't have to come if you don't want to" I told him and I meant it, he clearly didn't want to "No. I'll go" He said bringing me out of my thought's "Really?" he nodded "Its been a while since I've seen Ashton. Might as well get it out of the way" He said shrugging "Great! That's really great" I said trying not to sound like I was as desperate as I was for him to come "It'll be okay I guess. Maybe I'll get off with some girl" He added grinning but I hoped he wasn't being serious "I'm not standing alone while you and Calum get with girls, Michael" I warned he shook his head "I wouldn't want any of them anyway" He said his cheeks slightly flushed the joking tone replaced with a much more serious one as we stood up and walked back to Calum.
