Michael's POV

Ivy and I sat in complete silence after the story I'd just told her, both my eyes and hers were glossy with tears. I felt the guilt building yet again, I'd let myself forget about her and what had happened just over a year ago but now that I had finally said the story aloud the emotions all came flooding back to me

"Its okay to be upset, Michael" Ivy's voice called to me knocking me out of my absent state I looked to her "I shouldn't be. I should feel guilty I don't deserve to be upset. Its my fault that she's dead in the first place" I yelled but instantly regretted it "I'm sorry" I apologised quickly seeing the fearful look in her eyes she shook her head "It's fine. I understand, Michael. I just want to help you, I'm sorry I made you tell me" I shook my head "Its not like I wouldn't have told you at some point anyway" I told her and it was true I was planning on telling her at some point.

I knew if I didn't tell her that she would hear the story that had spread around "Does Kylie know what happened? I don't understand why she made it out to be such a horrific thing when it was just an accident" Ivy said I stood up and took a seat closer to her "She knows the story that she spread through the school. She doesn't know the real story, Cara and I were the only ones there so how could anyone know? I didn't tell anyone and Cara sure as hell didn't tell anyone did she?" I questioned not looking for an answer

"Kylie, she was really good friends with Cara. She used to go to your school before she died, Kylie blamed me for taking her best friend away so she told everyone that I saw her with Calum and rammed into her with my car on purpose and everyone believed her. I even got arrested and she made a statement saying that she'd seen me do it. But Calum, he went and set them straight and that's how they met" I told her sighing heavily I hated them being together. She didn't like me and I despised her and that would never change.

"I didn't get the time to be upset, I wasn't even allowed to go to the funeral. Her family told me that I wasn't welcome" I said suddenly her face fell and pity filled her feature's "That's horrible, Michael. I'm so sorry" I shrugged my shoulders "I go to her grave sometimes, well I went a few nights ago" "Wait you went at night? To a graveyard?" Ivy asked quickly I nodded "Yeah, its the only time I can go because her family go there everyday. I spent the whole night there last time" I told her she widened her eyes at me

"Listen, Ivy, about Luke too" I began "It doesn't matter now, Michael" Ivy said shaking her head "No I want to explain myself. I didn't beat him up, I helped the kid out of getting beaten to death. I'll admit that I did follow him because I was angry, after the fire and stuff and I don't know what I was planning on saying to him but I never got the chance. These three others came up to him and just went at him like crazy with their fists and I couldn't just watch so I ran over" I said she threw her head back and groaned cursing under her breath "What?" I asked turning to sit my body on top of my legs on the sofa "I just feel like a right idiot, of course that's what happened. That's why Luke looked so shifty when I questioned him about it" She said in a low voice "You spoke to him?" "Yeah a couple times, that's when I met Kylie and she asked to meet up and she mentioned Cara" Ivy told me still shaking her head again there was another silence but this time a more comfortable one.
