I didn't want to be the one to tell Calum. I didn't want him to have to know that Kylie had been with someone else but he deserved to know. So I called Kylie again after two days of no contact and asked her if she'd told him yet

"No Ivy. I haven't" She said dryly

"Fine. I'll meet him and tell him today I've given you enough time Kylie" I explained

"If you do then I'll never talk to you again. No one else will either you'll be a loner just like you were when you moved here" She spat I ignored her comments "I don't care Kylie do what you want" I said before hanging up. I took some deep breaths to control my breathing my hands shook slightly she was right. No one spoke to me when I first moved here, Kylie was the first person who I could call my friend here and she was the one to introduce me to Calum and his friends. Maybe Calum wouldn't want to talk to me anymore if I told him then I'd have no one. Was I really going to let Luke take my friends from me? It's what he wanted after all no I had to tell him.

I made my arrangements with Calum to meet him in the shopping centre and left the house. I was the first one to our meeting place so I took a seat on an empty bench I pulled out my phone and started playing a game. I was engrossed in temple run when a large pair of hands landed on my shoulders making me jump up and drop my phone to the floor

"Calum! You scared the shit out of me" I exclaimed bending down to pick up my phone

"Shit sorry I didn't mean to scare you so bad" Calum said laughing I turned to him narrowing my eyes at him "Right" I said standing up to face him fully

"I brought Michael along. Is that alright? He's just in the game shop" He said pointing behind me

"Yeah sure but I kind of need to tell you something. It's important" I said in a hushed tone his lips turned from a grin to a serious straight line

"Okay shoot. What's wrong?" He asked eyebrows raised, I cleared my throat

"You may want to sit down" I said nodding towards the bench in front of me his face turned to a more confused look now his eyebrows joining together

"You're scaring me what is this Ivy?" He asked slowly walking around to sit down on the bench I sat beside him and finally told him everything. As I finished his eyes dropped to the floor tears threatening to leak from his dark brown eyes

"I'm sorry Calum, I thought you had a right to know" I finished he blinked quickly and nodded clearing his throat

"No I'm glad you told me Ivy. Thank you" He stood up

"Where are you going?" I asked looking up at him

"I just suddenly don't feel like hanging out right now. Tell Michael that I'm ill or something would you? I need to get my head around this before I want to tell anyone"

"Oh yeah of course, If you do want to talk you know where I am" I called after him he smiled weakly at me nodding lightly

"See you Ivy" He said and I watched him walk away noticing him reaching up and wiping his face multiple times before he was out of sight.
