"Seven this is him, this is him. Asher Evans. The one I'm supposed to marry" I frantically mumbled as I had my face planted into his back. My hands was gripping his shirt for dear life and I couldn't control my trembling. "Shhhh.... Lotus. Don't be afraid. I'm here and nothing is going to hurt you. I promise".

"Did you have fun with my fiance?" I heard Asher's voice ring out. "Did you enjoy fucking what is mine?"

At those words my hands dug into Seven's back even tighter. I could feel Seven's muscles go taunt and knew he was trying to restrain his temper.  "No Seven" I whispered afraid he would try something and get himself killed. Instead he spoke back. "I wasn't aware  she belonged to anyone. Well, hold up a minute, now that I think about it Lotus does belong to someone... she belongs to me".

Asher grinned a evil smile. "You've got balls young man, I'll give you that. Now kindly pass the girl over and we will let you leave while your still breathing".

I started to move away from Seven to join Asher. Not because I wanted to but I wanted Seven to remain safe. "Be still princess. Stay put". Seven commanded me. Remaining still, Seven looked at Asher. "What did you pay for her?"

Asher eyed him. "My business matters aren't your concerns".

"They are now. Now tell me. I know a beauty such as Lotus wouldn't willingly be with the likes of you. How much?"

Asher released a growl. "Who are you?"

Seven smirked. "Depends on who you ask. Some call me the devil, some say I'm the shadow man, then some refer to me as the Seven deadly sins. Take your pick".

I watched as Asher's face paled and he seemed a bit baffled. "Your him. Your Seven Lambardi. The one responsible for killing  off the Muslini gang, not to mention many others".

A weak gasp came from my throat as I listened to their exchange. I eyed Seven closely as I awaited to see his reply. Please don't let any of this be true. Not him. Not my Seven.

Smirking as if this news was nothing he simply said "that'd be me. Yours truly Seven Lambardi".

My knees felt weak and I had to grip him even harder to remain stable as I released a sick groan. Seven glanced at me just to ensure I wasn't about to fall out, then he returned his focus back to Asher. "How much?"

"Five million is what I gave her parents".

"I'll double it. Ten cool million".

"One condition Mr. Lambardi. The girl remains with me until I have my payment".

Seven acted as if he was mulling it over. "That's a deal but with restrictions. No one, including you will put a hand on her in any form. She will be treated with respect at all times. If I find out otherwise I will take my money, my girl, and kill you".

"You have my word Mr. Lambardi"

Turning toward me, Seven started pushing me toward Asher. "No" I screamed trying to fight my way free. Little did I know that Seven was hoping I'd show my ass as to serve as a distraction as part of his plan. As the men's attention was on my outburst Seven pulled his gun and shot one man in the head and sent his knife through the other's throat. As for Asher he shot him in both knees sending him down. I stood there with my hands covering my ears from the loud blows, on the verge of hysteria and I couldn't dispatcher my screams from my sobs. Seven pulled me into him smothering my face into his chest while soothingly stroking my hair, trying his best to shield me from the death all around. I could hear Asher struggling to wiggle away through the brush. Seven bent my head back so that I was staring up into his now black orbs. I knew he was silently asking me for permission to kill Asher.

"N-nooo, n-ooo. Please don't I managed to eek out. Looking at me from the darkness of his soul he slowly shook his head no, placed a kiss to my forehead and forced my face back into his chest to keep me from seeing his actions. I heard Asher pleading and begging for his life then I heard a vile chuckle escape Seven's chest. "Real men don't beg, they except their fate with dignity".

In the next second the sound of the gun exploded and I'll never forget the sound the bullet made as it entered Asher's head or the final gurggles of air he took. Feeling a weakness overcome me I fell limp into Seven's body.

I don't know how long I had been out but when I woke I was in Seven's car alone. Without moving I glanced around and realized we was still parked in the abandoned mill lot. I spotted Seven, Hector, and several other men talking. Thankfully the window was cracked and I could catch bits of their conversation. They was discussing the clean up of the bodies. I noticed a few men pull a chainsaw and other body vanishing supplies from the trunk of a car. Instantly my stomach started to churn as morbid scenes splashed through my mind. I knew I needed to escape this madness and soon. Quietly I snooped through the glove compartment and middle console for extra keys. Not only did I find keys but a stash of money that would come in handy. Sliding the key in the ignition I easily slid my way behind the wheel. As soon as his car grumbled to life all the men's attention averted to me. Seven took off toward the car yelling "Get out of the car Lotus. Calm down and get out".

Panicked I threw the car into reverse, slammed it into first and tore out of there. Through the rearview mirror I saw Seven standing with his hands on his hips not looking pleased at all. Right now I couldn't worry about that. My main goal was to put as much distance between him and I, ditch his car and figure out what to do from there. No where to go, no one to turn to, and just the stash of money in his car made my options look nil. I had to find my way for the very first time in this big world that I was totally alone in.
