Chapter 5

Jake's pov (Flash Back To Ohio Life)

My brother left a week ago to live in Cali. It was getting harder in school with all the hate I've been getting because of my trying to make it somewhere on Youtube. I was sitting on the stair case outside a book store 20 minutes from my house. It was one of my harder days because I was slapped, pushed, taunted, and hurt. I thought I was alone, but then I saw a boy walk up to me. "Hi, ummm are you ok? I saw what they did to you at school."

"Oh you saw. Umm yea I'm fine." I didn't want to breakdown because he would think I'm just a cry baby and need to man up.

"No you're not. I can see its affecting you."

I sighed. Well here goes nothing. "When my brother graduated he just left to go live in Cali instead. Ive been an easier target ever since."

"Oh. I'm so sorry. Look they're just jealous and if they continue to do that crap I'll set them straight." I smiled and couldn't help but think that maybe someone did care for once. "Oh by the way, I'm Anthony."

"I'm Jake."

The Next Day

I was just walking down the halls when I was shoved again. "Where you going Jake? You scared?"

"N-no" They started laughing. Then his hand contacted my cheek as he slapped me. Though then Jared was shoved off of me.

"Yo what the hell. Oh so you're trying to come to Jake's rescue aren't ya?" They stated laughing. "How pathetic." Jared shoved Anthony backwards. "If I were you id leave now. Before you get hurt too."

"Anthony just go. Ill be fine."

"I'm not going anywhere." He said in full confidence. Jared went to try to hit me again, but Anthony punched him. "I'd leave now before you get hurt." He mimicked.

"You know what these losers aren't worth it. Lets go." They left as Anthony helped me up.

"You ok?"

"Yea, thanks Anthony."

"No problem. That's what friends are for."

Amy's pov

It had been a few weeks of Anthony not shutting the hell up about this new friend hes helping out. He started to talk about him again when I decided to say, "Well when are you gonna let me meet this new friend. We ARE the same age so we can all hang out?."

"Lets go with now." He laughed. "Don't worry I didn't forget about you."
"Hey Jake?"

"Yea?" He looked confused and kinda nervous to see a girl standing here wanting to meet him.

"Meet my sister, Amy."

"Oh, I didn't know you had a sister. But hi Amy, I'm Jake."

"Trust me I know your name by now, this one wont shut up about how nice of a friend you are."

"Oh I feel so honored." Jake laughed.
"So I was thinking Anthony, me and you could hang out later. And Amy you can come too."

"Where ya wanna go?"

"Uhhhh idk, but I do wanna hang out with you guys."

Alyssa's pov

I was at home doing homework when I heard many voices come through the front door. I got up to check out who it was. "awwwwe, Jake has friends. I mean what?"

"Of course he has friends, hes a nice person."

"Woah, hold up. I'm just messing around he does it to me too."

"Yea Anthony shes cool, don't worry. That's my sister Alyssa."

"Oh well hi Alyssa, I'm Amy."

"I'm Anthony and I'm sorry for snapping at you."

"Oh its ok. Can I hang with you guys?"

"Yea. LE GO!" Jake yelled running downstairs to our gamming room.

Chance's pov

I was just walking down the halls of the old school when I heard "You guys are such losers. Like what the fuck? Why are you guys so pathetic?" That was jared, but who was he talking to? As I turned the corner I saw unfamiliar people but two of them were girls and two of them were boys.

"Just leave us the fuck alone, is it that hard for you?" said one of the girls. Then Jared went up and slapped her.

"Amy are you ok?" The other girl said. Amy huh? She looked so beautiful, and it angered me to see him hit her.

"Don't fucking hit my sister!" Yelled one of the boys as he walked up to Jared, but Jared just punched him.

"Anyone else want to challenge me?" The other boy with blonde hair pushed Jared because he attempted to walk up to the other girl.

"Stay the fuck away from my sister!"

That's when I had it with spectating. I ran up to Jared and punched him straight in the jaw, grabbed him by his collar, and yelled "Leave them the fuck alone or else you wont look like a pretty boy anymore." He just ran away like a scared cat. "Are you ok?" I asked Amy first, helping her stand up from a sitting position, then I helped the blonde, then the other boy, and then the other girl. "I'm Chance".

"I'm Amy." I couldn't help but smile at her, was I already falling for her when I just met her?

"I'm Jake." Said the blonde.

"I'm Anthony." Said the other boy.

"And I'm Alyssa."

This was the day that they became my best friends and that was the day I think I started falling for someone.
