Zeke Yeager.

He has a tall, broad, well-toned body with shaggy blond hair and a matching mustache that descends down into his beard. He's wearing no shirt, loose pants, combat boots, and circular glasses. He also has a large scar running down his left arm.

We stand only feet apart in the middle of the woods. I can hear all of the Freedom Scouts surrounding us. Years have passed and I'm sure he's anticipated this moment. I look him up and down, trying to predict his next move. He is very easygoing with his stance. He comes off as careless and lazy. Is this what I've been preparing to fight after all this time? "So, will you be killing me with your bare hands, Commander Yamazaki?" he asks, smirking. "Or will you use that pesky maneuvering gear?"

I begin cracking my knuckles. Just for this mission, I wore black fingerless gloves. "Which way do you prefer to die?"

"Confident, are we? Tell me, are you familiar with Kenny Ackerman? He's mentioned your name before."

I raise an eyebrow. "He owes me a few of his fingers. Why?"

Zeke begins pacing. I can hear the soldiers shifting positions. They want any signs of attack. They're on edge. Aren't we all? "He told me so much about you, a lot of it was positive."

"I wish I could say the same about him."

"He said you were smart, strategic. You were the perfect person for Erwin Smith's loyal dog. I can barely keep track of the people scared of you."

I cross my arms. "Is that right?"

"With that being said, how about you be more honest as to how this is going to go down?" He suspects something. I have over twenty soldiers waiting within the trees. They are armed with the bows and arrows I asked for. They will be taking the eyesight of the Beast Titan. There's another thirty below them that will be using the traps and their gear to take off his arms and legs, three of them including Jean, Mikasa, and Levi. After that, everything else will fall into place. "I think you should be more reasonable before I wipe out the entire division within minutes."

"Come on, Zeke. Did you really think I would come to you alone?"

"I think you would make smarter decisions for that beautiful baby girl you have. Suri is her name, right?" I dig my fingers into my arm. Don't let him get to you. That's what he wants. He wants me to lose control so this entire operation falls apart. "And what about your strong lover, Levi Ackerman? How would he feel seeing his wife and the more of his first child being slaughtered?"

I roll my eyes. "You're stalling your demise. Are you done taunting with petty comments?"

He finally stops pacing to lean against a tree. "I want to get to know you, Commander Yamazaki."

"I'm not one for dates but I suppose we can have a few," I sarcastically replied. "I want to get to know you as well, Zeke. Why do people like you exist? How many Titans are there? Where do they come from? Who's creating them?"

"You have so many questions."

"I have all the important ones."

"I will say, there is a serum that has the ability to transform humans into shifters like me and your assistant."

"You know more about my division than I am comfortable with. Who's your source? And where is this serum? Eren's basement in his home district?"

"I have no direct source, besides Kenny. I simply put my ears to the street. They do all the talking I need to have a fair idea of who I'm up against. As for that basement, I think you should go down there for yourself. You'll find exactly what you're looking for."

"Why does no one know Grisha had another son, before Eren?"

He sighs, adjusting his glasses. "I was born to Grisha Yeager and Dina Fritz, who were planning to overthrow the Marley government and put the Eldians back in power. Grisha was among the rebels when the Marley government announced the Warrior program, asking for Eldian children between the ages of five to seven to serve as potential Warriors, with the promise that their families would be given the title of Honorary Marleyans and be ensured freedom within the country, and Grisha decided to enter me into the program to play the role of a spy for his cause.

During my training, I overheard one day that the Titan Biology Research Society was close to discovering my father was leading the Restoration as well as discovering my royal bloodline. Knowing that this would sentence him, my family and all the resistance members to the border of Paradis to be converted to Pure Titans, I decided that the best strategy would be for my heritage to remain unknown to Marley. I reluctantly turned in my own parents to the Marley government in order to secure my status in Marley's eyes as a loyal Warrior. Soon after, my parents were sentenced to be sent to Paradis Island as Pure Titans. Still not knowing the truth of my heritage, Marley sent me to be raised by my grandparents.

Despite having sent my father and mother to certain death, I continued my father's work and operated from the shadows to secure the freedom of the Eldian race from Marley. Years later, I became the eldest of the Warrior candidates to receive the power of the Titans. I spoke to my fellow Warriors about how the Marley government were preparing to begin the Paradis Island Operation in the next few years.

At the age of 17, I inherited the power of what you people call the Beast Titan. One year after inheriting the ability, I and my fellow Warriors used our Titan forms to crush an entire nation. I used his Titan form to bombard enemies, in the midst of retreat, with explosive ammunition. With the battle being a large success, the Marleyan army regarded the new Warriors as more effective than their predecessors. When the Paradis Island Operation began, I was kept in Marley alongside Pieck, as a deterrent to enemy nations."

So much history that is practically lost. This man holds most of it. I'm sure Hange is scrawling away on his notepad. This is critical information. Even so, he won't leave these trees alive. I can't allow his existence to continue when we are so close to victory. I grab my flare gun and spin the barrel. "Are you ready, Zeke Yeager?"

"Just about. I can't possibly forget my half-brother, Eren Yeager. I plan to leave here with him, thank you very much."

"I beg to differ."

"I'll kill you before you have the chance to stop me."

"You really think so?"

"Oh, I know so."

"Alright," I quickly fire off a green ground then arm myself with six knives. "Let's dance."
