Eyes

Panicky eyes move,
From the left and from the right,
Trying to understand and approve,
The images that come into sight.

While they might be pretty,
And shine from the light,
They hold a lot of pity,
For the ones that come into sight.

Their eyes move too much,
Taking in the area,
Out of paranoia and such,
Quickly turning into hysteria.

Others either ignore these eyes,
Or check to see if they're alright,
Most of those people are enemies in disguise,
That act as if their minds are bright.

You can't trust many people,
Especially people with shifty eyes,
They're hiding in the steeple,
Waiting for you to meet your ties.

While some eyes are scared and lost,
There are many that are filled with joy,
Their joys worth and cost,
Is worth much more than a toy.

Happiness is the key,
For the greatest time in life,
But the shifty eyes don't see,
How the sadness is cutting them like a knife.

Many things are hidden,
Hidden from your eyes,
Your knowing of the secret is forbidden,
If you find out you can't rise.

I would say that I'm sorry,
But you've found out,
Now you'll never see things that are starry,
Or be capable of releasing a shout.

The panicky eyes are to blame,
For they hid the secret from you,
You were happy with no shame,
But that feeling will not stay new.
