Mamihlapinatapai

I want to feel his skin on mine,
To touch his delicate lips with my own,
To pull his hair so light but fine,
And smell his fresh cologne.

I want him to be mine,
And for me to be his,
We could share a glass of wine,
And I won't be a Miss.

Yet neither one is moving,
We're both still as stone,
We're disapproving,
Of making our actions get in the zone.

We're scared one will disapprove,
Or the action will not suffice,
We could always improve,
But that takes time and price.

I can see he wants to move,
And he can tell I do too,
Confidence isn't easy to prove,
And the actions are harder to do.

The eye contact we're making,
Is filled with so much emotion,
Neither one could be faking,
As both eyes are filled like the ocean.

This feeling of Mamihlapinatapai,
Fills both of us to no end,
Both of us want to try,
But none of our limbs will bend.
