Drowning

When you think of drowning,
What do you see,
A girl crying and frowning,
With her tears becoming a sea?

Does a kid dying in water,
Come to mind,
Maybe a slaughter,
Because one had to unwind.

They're two different people,
But both are drowning in emotions,
They were stuck in a steeple,
Because their fake love brought promotions.

They hate each other,
But they have to keep it up,
It could be a friend or your mother,
Who hides marks with makeup.

You don't know who's drowning,
Who's dying inside,
A woman may have lost her crowning,
Or may have horrifically lied.

Maybe a man is drowning in debt,
Or they're drowning in money,
Maybe a man is hiding from his threat,
Or raping his honey.

Drowning is percieved in many ways,
Most people see it in a negative light,
That's because the water lays,
In everyones' line of sight.
