The painting/drawing atop is actually made by me. By no means am I a good artist, I just thought it was an ok idea and that he might like it. It's for a best friend of mine, who's gay, and I just wanted to let him know that I fully support him. This birthday present idea actually made me want to write this poem, so I hope you enjoy! Bye Bye!

We are straight,
We like the opposite gender,
Our sexuality is part of our fate,
We're a tradition and rule defender.

We are gay,
We like women if we're women,
We were born this way,
If we're guys we like men.

We are bisexual,
We don't care which gender we like,
We're interllectual,
There are no parts we dislike.

We are transgender,
We want to be in the other body,
Others say we're a rule bender,
But who cares about the opinions of a random somebody?

We are queer,
We still need to find out who we are,
We're not people you should fear,
We're just a flying star.

We are different,
And we are proud of who we are,
We're not poisonous or potent,
We had the guts to go this far.

We will love who we want to,
Because we are allowed to,
You can't scare us away with a simple boo,
The only thing we need to be happy is a person- but who?
