Little Thoughts

Usually I hate writing things in this type of poetic manner, but I decided to give it a try because my brain was filling itself with ideas I couldn't put into rhythmic words. Each stanza/paragraph is a different poem. I might make haikus later if I see fit. The YouTube video is in no way mine, but I thought that this could help some people understand a hidden part to society and think a bit before they say anything to others. Take the video into consideration please. It means a lot.

To touch someone for your own pleasure; to use their bodies against their will; to touch them in ways they mustn't be touched; is an insult. Even worse, it's a crime.

Your words run deeper than you think. They stain the minds of children; making them wonder whether the chance they take is making others happy; not understanding that not everyone will notice your decision and choice.

They come home every night; eyes filled with tears and bruises seen in the light; wondering and hoping to see whether a new opportunity has come; not understanding the situation. Not understanding that just because a bully comes to you it doesn't mean that a new chance has appeared. You need to make one, but some people get a bit desperate when they take the chances they see fit.

A change is needed, but in what and for who? Maybe the one that needs change is you.

You can't be better than everyone so stop trying. As long as you're better than one in something, you're someone.

Razors and blades can make me bleed, but your words can break my mind.

Someone told me "Go follow your dreams". In that case, I'll see you crying by the casket next spring.

My thoughts are eating me alive and you're watching without a care.

Why did you have to use me? To pretend as if I was worth something to you, only for you to throw me out like I was just a disgusting piece of trash moments later. If I was beautiful like you said, I wouldn't be looking at a reflection of red eyes and black tear stained cheeks in a shattered mirror. If I was as talented as you said, then why is everyone looking at me in pity? If I was strong, then why am I crying? If I was perfect, why did you leave? If you did this to me, why did I trust you?

Remember a poem is "...a piece of writing that partakes of the nature of both speech and song that is nearly always rhythmical, usually metaphorical, and often exhibits such formal elements as meter, rhyme, and stanzaic structure..." As long as it has a strong meaning and it conveys emotion it can be counted as a poem. There are many on the internet and not all of them rhyme. Either way I hope you enjoyed. Bye Bye!
