The Scrap Boy

This poem was inspired by Amygdala's Rag Doll. I'm writing something a bit different than what this song is trying to portray, but I hope you like my idea. Enjoy; Bye Bye!

Stop asking if I'm ok,
Because I'm tired of lying,
I really want you to stay,
And keep me from fucking dying.

When a person dies by suicide,
They don't really want to die,
They don't want to live by this fear and abide,
They don't want to live to lie.

They want to be free of the pain,
But the only thing they see is blood,
And if not that then death and rain,
With the sky's water mixing to make mud.

But it's not only mud they see,
They see themselves-more than a reflection,
And think of how the water was free,
Only to become a sick complexion.

The scrap boy thought of this,
As he watched the sky cry,
In state of suicidal bliss,
When he thought of his parents lie.

"We just want to see how you'll fend for yourself,"
Is not what you would say to a child,
Now the little boy only has a home with a shelf,
And on that shelf a razor smiled.

The smile was blood red,
Inviting the boy in,
Making him feel comfortable with the dead,
And the thought of his sin.

For all he was was trouble,
And he doesn't want his parents to suffer,
Of course they'll have a double,
They might even be a little bit rougher.

They wanted a tough kid,
Which is why he got beat every day,
But he didn't open his lid,
Or else they'll have their own way.

He was a little piece of nothing,
So they threw him to the scrap,
He could only bring one thing,
And he made sure it would cut his lap.

He was the living among the artificial,
But he would rather not be here,
He thought death was beneficial,
So he drew his razor near.

He didn't feel remorse when he saw his parents cry,
As his body slowly became cold,
He thought everything they did was a straight big lie,
But they were just too bold for one word.

They wanted to make him strong,
But they didn't know how,
They didn't know how to make him belong,
But they couldn't change anything now.

They only had to say one thing,
But now it was too late,
His heart is a broken string,
And his parents hearts are in the same state.
