As I looked through my wardrobe, I began to hum a random tune to pass time. About half an hour had passed and I finally settled on an outfit. I settled on a short silver dress, ending above my knees and framing my body. Along with some plain black pumps and did a simple messy bun to complete it.
It was some time before lunch was going to be set out to, so I did a little exploring. I went to the pool first, the warmth of the generator greeting you as you walked in. I opened the doors to the balcony, the natural light and heat hitting me. I covered my eyes from the light when I heard a car. I skipped over to the edge and leaned against it, looking into the driveway. I saw a plain little black car pull up as Charles walked out the front door. I watched as a women got out the car and waved to him. They hugged and he led her into the house.
Wanting to let them catch up, I made my way to the library again. I closed the doors behind me and re-found my books. I picked one up and made my way to the door as I heard someone blowing out candles. I turned around to see one of the aisles go dark to the light being suddenly taken.
"Hello?" I called out.
"Hello?" A voice responded. It wasn't Charles. Neither Jason.
"Hi..." I walked away from the door and made my way to the bookshelf. A girl jumped out on me and made me jump.
"Oh! Sorry" She smiled. I watched as her shoulder length black hair grazed along her and she gazed back at me with her ocean green eyes.
"I'm sorry, we've never met" I said.
"We haven't! I'm Zarena!" She cheerily replied.
"Talia!" We both looked in the direction of the door to see Charles stood there, a little out of breath. I raised my eyebrow at him as he walked over and put his arm around Zarena's shoulders.
"This. This is Zarena Lorenzo. My sister"
My mouth hung agape as I studied their similarities. Black hair. Bright eyes.
"I love your dress Talia" Zarena interjected.
"Thank you" I smiled.
"You two stop flirting and let's get diner" He pushed Zarena as he smiled at me. I stood for a few seconds, soaking up everything that just happened. I felt Charles push me towards the door as he stroked my hair and smiled.
