"Just to let you know Talia," She looked at me hesitantly.
"I am not Charles, nor your friend. I am someone that could possibly be your boss"
"Yes, Mr Lorenzo" She replied, pulling the chair out and sitting down.
"So, where was the last place you worked?"
"I worked at a small shop that one my friend's parents owned for about four years. After that I did voluntary work at a local shelter. But some unfortunate events at home led me to work as a waitress."
"I see. What are your qualifications? Do you have a C.V?"
"I do in fact" She pulled out a perfectly flat piece of A4 paper from her bag and placed it on my desk. I picked it up read it carefully. I was nicely surprised to see she did a lot of volunteer work and mostly B's with some A's. Even more surprised she snuck it by me and I didn't notice her.
"Well your C.V. looks good and you have perfect qualifications..."
She sat in silence as she picked at her hand. I noticed she picked a new wound and made it bleed a little.
"Talia..."
I shook my head sideways slowly as she wiped the blood away. She gave me faint-hearted smile as I smiled back.
"Well then ..." I said, making my way out of my chair. Her eyes glued to me as I stood in front of her. She sat up straight, fixed her hair and pushed her feet together. I stood in front of her and leaned on my desk, my hands supporting me. She looked at me for a while, blankly. I tutted and grabbed her C.V. and gave it back to her.
"Am I good enough?"

I'm going to be doing quite short chapters. I just prefer it like that!
