"Tandaan niyo, this jungle has only one entrance. Pagkapasok niyo sa loob, magsasara agad ito at hindi niyo na makikita. It's a tricky place, kailangan niyong mag-ingat. There are beasts, shapeshifters and other predators inside. Walang nakatira sa loob, kaya pag may nakita kayong bahay, that's a trap."
Nakaupo kami sa damo sa tapat ng mismong bukana ng jungle. Bukas pa kami papasok ni Clyde sa loob. Sa ngayon, Meister is explaining to us the rules of this jungle. His rules; dahil nakapasok at nakalabas siya ng buhay mula sa loob.
"There are crawlers and nymphs. Beware of them. Mas mabuti siguro kung magkakaroon kayo ng palatandaan sa isa't isa, in case na magkahiwalay kayo. Magsabihan kayo ng sikreto na alam niyong walang nakakaalam bukod sa inyo or a special physical trait, mas maganda yun, dahil hindi ito magagaya basta-basta." Napatingin agad ako kay Clyde sa sinabi ni Meister.
Secret? I have to tell him a secret? Well, kung iisipin mas gusto ko na 'yon kesa mag-away pa kami sa loob. Nymphs might try to play with us, crawlers might try to eat us and worse ay ang shapeshifter, baka gayahin nito ang anyo namin.
"Kukuha lang ako ng mga woods sa gilid and I will secure the perimeter. Mag-usap na kayo habang wala ako." I nodded at Meister. Mabilis siyang nawala. It looks like he enhanced his speed with magic.
"This is serious. We could die inside." Nilingon ko si Clyde na seryosong nakatingin sa entrance ng jungle. Nakakatakot nga itong titigan, because sometimes it seems like someone or something is watching ua from there.
"Tama ka. But still, we have to do it." Naisip ko bigla si lolo at ang tournament. Kailangan naming manalo.
"Interesting. Hindi ka natatakot?" I frowned at him. Nakangisi siya sakin ng mapang-asar.
"Don't judge me like your girls, Enrys." I said.
"I don't have girls." He said and chuckled.
"Kaya pala. Don't you know that your fangirls hate me? Dahil sa lagi daw kita kasama or whatever." I ranted. Why are they even like that? I'm sick of their personalities.
"Not my fault. But sorry kung nadamay ka. They're being ridiculous." Sabi ni Clyde. He patted my head and smirked at me. Tinanggal ko ang kamay niya.
"Why are you like this around me" I groaned at him. I know I sound so dramatically confused. But, no, I'm not. Napapansin ko lang kasi na madalas siyang seryoso o kaya naman tahimik kapag may iba kaming kasama. And then, maybe I'm just assuming, malay ko ba kung ganyan talaga yan..
He just gazed at me seriously at napangiti ng bahagya. It looks like I won't get an answer from him. Again.
"I told you, didn't I. Hindi ko din alam. I just feel like I could be myself around you." He said sincerely. Umiwas ako ng tingin sa kanya. He's so complicated. My emotion is so complicated. I bit my unconsciously. Maybe, I'm just over thinking.
"Tell me a secret." He suddenly said. Tumango ako sa kanya. Buti na lang nag-iba ang conversation.
"Huh? Eh, ikaw mauna." I muttered incoherently. Nakahinga na ako ng malalim. He decided to change the subject of our conversation.
He narrowed his gaze at me, as if he's thinking of what secret he would say. I guess, madami lang akong iniisip talaga. I snickered to myself. Why the hell am I acting like a lovesick puppy? Ang Eury na kilala ko ay decisive. Ugh! Whatever.
"I like the color of black." He said gazing straight to my eyes. Hindi ko alam kung tatawanan ko ba sya or what.. Who keep that as a secret?
"Enrys, that's hardly a secret." I sighed in disbelief. Kumunot naman ang noo niya.
