"It really is weird." I said to Clyde. Huminto siya sa paglakad at nilingon ako.
"I know. There's no one around." Did we happened into a trap in the forest? Pero wala naman akong nararamdaman na kakaiba. Just the silence. As if everything is dead.
"Let's regroup now." I nodded and we both teleported back at the base. Nag-send ako ng light beacon signal na tanging ang Nimbus SCC lang ang makakakita.
"It's unlikely that everybody already found the exit. Sa tingin ko naman- Clyde, are you listening?"
He just stood there, the same expression he have everytime he's thinking about something that is probably related to grandpa, to me. I reached for his cheeks. Napatingin siya sakin. Kahit ako nagulat sa ginawa ko.
"Are you okay?" I cleared my throat at binawi din ang kamay ko. What was I thinking? Seriously. He chuckled and shook his head lightly.
"I swear if we're not outside where everyone can see us-" I stopped him halfway pf what he's about to say by putting my hand on his mouth
"Clyde!" Tumawa lang siya habang ako namumula na sa kahihiyan. Buti na lang kami lang dalawa ang nandito.
He put his hands on my head and ruffled my hair. Sumimangot lang ako sa kaniya as he just grinned back at me. He still didn't tell me anything, but I know his intentions. And I know that more than anything, he always does what is needed. I just have to trust him.
Dumating na si Shiro at Hana na mukhang nagtalo pa pabalik sa.Clyde looked at me and then sa dalawa. He looked serious again. He's the captain alright.
I saw Shiro teasing me with his eyebrows but I didn't mind. He's always like that. Besides, there are important matters at hand. We're still inside the death maze and we ned to get out.
"We felt no presence at all. As if everyone just vanished into thin air." Tumango si Hana sa sinabi ko at tumingin kay Shiro.
"Nakapagtatak nga na parang walang casters. Imposible naman na nakalabas na sila. And how could they just vanish?"
"Dalawa lang ang ibig sabihin nito.." Shiro nodded seriously and looked back at Clyde.
"It's either they got out already or they're already dead." Clyde nodded his head. He said it without a hint of remorse in his voice. He's unfazed as if he already expected it will happen soon.
"Guys!" Napalingon kami sa kakadating lang na si Miri at Clauss. Nahulog sila parehas sa lupa. It seemed like they teleported in mid-air.
"This is bad, captain! The Phantom Faction, arrgh.." Napasigaw si Clauss sa sakit. I saw him holding his sides and a metallic smell suddenly came crashing through my nostrils. Nakita ko a g dugo sa kamay niya. Lumapit ako at hinawakan ito. I chiled it a little bit para hindi mainfect ng dumi. I glanced at Miri at nakuha na niya ang ibig sabihin ko. I stood up and looked at Clyde.
"Erphie!" Mabilis na tinawag ni Miri si Erphie kahit na maging siya ay mukhang nahihirapan na din. Thankfully she doesn't have any wounds.
"This is bad, Clyde. I think they know where we are. There's a tracking powder in his wounds." I said at pinakita ito sa kaniya at sa dalawa niya pang katabi na si Shiro at Hana.
Mabilis na ginamot ni Erphie si Clauss kahit hindi pa ito iniuutos ni Miri sa kaniya. Shiro assisted them at sinanday si Clauss sa isang puno.
"What happened?" Clyde remained focused and so am I. We can't afford to panic, it won't help us. Clauss flinched as he positioned himself better. Hawak-hawak pa din niya ang gilid ng tiyan niya pero nagsara na ang sugat mula dito.
