Tumigil sa pagtugtog ang mga gnomes at maging ang mga students na nagsasayaw ay bumalik sa mga tables nila. All of our eyes are on Headmaster at this moment.
"Hey." Fhyto greeted us as he took a seat at our table. Siya nga pala ang date ni Hana. I took a glance at Shiro and he looks somewhat annoyed by that fact. Hindi ko alam ang story, but it seems like he hates Fhyto.
"All of you are aware about the Grand Reed Tournament, held every year when the sun and the moon meets." I furrowed my eyebrows. Eto ba yung sinasabi ni Clyde? Is headmaster going to tell us all when the tournament is going to be held?
"Pero may hindi kayo nalalaman about sa Reed Tournament." Lahat kami ay seryosong nakatingin lang kay headmaster. I don't know if I'm just thinking too much, or is he acting weirdly? I just hope that this is not connected to whatever mission that Grandpa is in. I clenched my hands tightly.
"It is said that Grand Reed Tournament is held in honor of the first caster, Ryker Reed. Pero hindi.. Ngayon, sasabihin namin ang totoo." Headmaster looks grim as he said it. I don't understand anything. Tatayo na sanaako para magsalita pero pinigipan ako ni Clyde.
"Just listen." He said seriously.
"True, it's named after him. Siya ang unang caster, he was our king, pero he did a taboo that no caster should ever do."
Ryker Reed. I don't know much about him. Kahit sa council house, limited ang information tungkol sa kanya. Ang alam ko lang ay siya ang first caster. Sa ilalim ng pamumuno niya, buo lahat ng mga casters. We weren't split into six factions like now. Each of the council leaders back then where his brothers at arms, but eventually ng mawala siya bigla, naghiwahiwalay ang anim and they created different factions with their different beliefs.
"He took many lives for a ritual. He created Crux." Katulad kung paano nagsalita si headmaster noong una, napupuno pa din ng katahimikan ang buong gym. I don't even feel like arguing anymore. Crux. It was told as a story, sinong mag-aakala na totoo pala 'yon? Pero bakit nila sinasabi 'to samin ngayon?
"Hindi ko 'to sinasabi para takutin kayo. It should serve as a reminder na hindi tayo dapat gumamit ng magic ng basta-basta. Now, The tournament is going to happen two months from now. Hindi lang dapat ang SCC ang maging handa! Nimbus Academy should be ready and support our faction!" At first, it was just a handful of students who supported headmaster.
Clyde suddenly stood up. Kahit kami na kasama niya sa table ay nagulat sa ginawa niya. He slammed his palms on the table and silence filled the whole place again.
"Our team will win!" He shouted. I felt chills ran down my spine sa biglaang malakas na sigawan mula sa mga students.
"Yeah! We will win!" Clauss shouted. Kahit ang girlfriend niya ay nakikisigaw na din. All of them rose up from their seats and roared.
Maybe this is what Clyde and headmaster had been talking about earlier. They really riled up a lot of fiery little hearts.
"Cheers!" Biglang sigaw ni Hana at nagtaas ng baso sa harap namin. I shook my head in disbelief. She's not drunk is she? It's just grape wine after all.

"Bakit ka na sa labas?" Bwisit na tanong ko kay Fae na sinusundan ako habang naikot sa buong gym. Gusto ko lang naman magpahangin. Ewan ko ba nababanas ako sa loob. Kahit ang daming maganda ngayong araw.
"Nasa labas din naman si Merkuro." Sabi ni Fae sakin at sabay turo sa hawak kong espada.
"Bumalik ka na." Walang gana kong sagot. Tinitigan niya ko saglit bago bumalik sa likod ko. I swear napaka-selosa ng spirit na 'yon. Kaya naman si Merkuro ang lagi kong gamit ay dahil tahimik at sinusunod ako nito.
