It looks like they have their own world, all to themselves.
"Ang seryoso niyo naman ni captain." She pouted at me when we didn't say anything. I snickered at her and poked Clyde's left cheek. He looked at me and poked my forehead.
"Wag kang magulo nanonood ako." He said. I frowned at him and looked back at Miri. I still don't know why my heart beats so fast whenever he looks at me like that. We've lived together for three years and I should've been used to it already. Ugh! This is because of those gray eyes. Why does it have to be my favorite color of eyes?
This is because of him acting so different around me. Since when did I have these kinds of thoughts?
"Miri was asking something." I said.
"I would've answered if it's important." He said and glanced at us briefly.
"Ang sungit na naman." I muttered with a low voice, much like a whisper. He should be thankful that I understand his split capatain mode personality.
"Nakakagulo ba ko dito?" Miri poked me at my sides playfully. Her laughter is so loud, pati ang mga nanonood na malapit sa corner namin ay nadidistract na sa kanya.
"Pero seryoso, gaano ba sila katagal magtititigan?" I looked back at the same position of Clauss and the senior student. They're so still that even a gush of air would not appear out of shame. Kahit ang mga nanonood ay tahimik lang. Ni isa sa kanila ay walang nagrereklamo.
I looked over at the corner of the seniors whom we're fighting. They don't seem to worry about the one fighting for them. I honestly feel something from him, it feels like his presence is stronger than he lets on.
"Is he strong?" I asked Clyde.
"I wouldn't be watching intently if he weren't. He's the captain of their team." I looked over at the podium and looked back at Clyde seriously.
"Looks could really be deceiving. He looks so scrawny, I thought he's physically weak." I said. No wonder Clauss is cautious of him.
"What's dangerous is his ability," He said as his eyebrows furrowed.
"What's his ability?" I asked him again. The way Fhyto is waiting for Clauss to attack has to mean something. If his ability is that invincible, he wouldn't have to do that.
"He calls it anti ability. It's a special type of ability." He said. I nodded at him. I heard, no, more likely read a case like this in the forbidden section in the council house. Grandpa scolded me for it.
Anti ability isn't classified as dangerous, its just that it's unusual. I think it has something to do with the deficiency of magic energy in the body of a caster, that results in the somewhat negation of the natural energy entering the body of the caster na may anti ability.
"Physical attacks are effective against it. Siguradong alam na niya yun." I said. He smirked at me and shook his head bemusedly.
"Physical attacks? Fhyto is good at it." Clyde snickered. I noticed him clenching his hands tightly. It seems like he feels responsible for this match. After all, Fhyto is the captain of the seniors and he is ours. I didn't say anything to him at binalik na ang tingin sa laban.
