"Ms. Kentra, pinapaabot po ng Meister namin." I smiled at the first year girl and accepted the papers in her hands.
"Thank you." I said to her. I sighed in relief. A month after we won, ang daming natambak na paperworks samin.
"Eury! Let's eat first." Nakita ko si Hana nanakadungaw mula sa pintuan ng SCC Office namin. To celebrate our win, and to signify the new start, ni-renovate ang dating class building namin. Now, it's bigger and with actual separated rooms. Pero nandun pa din ang gym kung saan patuloy pa din kaming tinetrain ni Meister Rav.
"Akala ko ba ichecheck mo ang last preparation ng ball para mamaya?" I asked her. Yes, there's a ball that's about to happen later. At kami ang nagaasikaso ng lahat. Technically speaking, wala kaming pahinga.
"Nagugutom na kasi ako. And besides, students parin naman tayo. Wala pa nga tayong beauty sleep." She ranted to me. Napangiti na lang ako sa kanya habang sabay kaming naglalakad papunta sa cafeteria.
"And to think that for almost four years, the five of you does stuffs exactly like these ones." I said to her. If I had entered in the academy a lot earlier, things would've been different for me.
"Kaya nga. Andaya mo," She said and playfully smacked my arms. I laughed at her frowning face.
"Eury Eury! Hana Hana!" We both turned our heads almost at the same time. Nakita namin si Erphie na kumakaway samin habang nakaupo sa ulo ni Ziel.
"Guys dito!" Miri waved as frantically as what Erphie just did. I shook my head in amusement. Hindi mapagkakaila na parang perfect match silang dalawa as master and familiar.
Lumapit kami sa kanila at naupo sa mga vacant seats. Ziel saluted at me and Hana. He looks somewhat bored and annoyed. Siguradong si Erphie na naman ang dahilan. Kapag hindi, si Miri ang kinaiinisan niya.
"It's just the three of us, huh? Where are they?" I asked Ziel. I peered over at Hana, Erphie and Miri. I almost grinned to myself. They're happily ordering foods to the gnomes.
"Si Clauss nasa may library, Si Shiro nasa may gym yata nakikipag-spar sa mga swords niya at si Clyde yata pinatawag ni headmaster." I nodded at what he had said. Clauss must be reading strategy tactics in the library. Tinuturuan siguro ni Fae at Merkuro si Shiro sa self-training niya. I admit, hindi ko ineexpect ang ganung klaseng pag-seal ng spirit. Kakaiba ang ginamit na spell sa mga swords ni Shiro and I bet that's a top family secret. Now, I'm getting curious. Damn.
"What about you? Wala ka ginagawa?" Tanong ko sa kanya.
"Si Miria lang naman ang dahilan kung bakit ako nandito. Trabaho kong turuan at protektahan siya." Sabi nito ng seryoso sakin.
"Yun lang ba?" I couldn't help but ask. Napahinto siya sa pag-inom at napatingin sakin ng nakasimangot. A playful smirk crept on my face.
"Anong ibig sabihin noon?" He asked.
"Nothing. Bakit, ano ba sa tingin mo?" I teased him again. These past few days, this is my recent fascination. Ziel just have this lost expression whenever I tease him to Miri.
"Wala." Sabi niya na lang.
A gush of wind suddenly went past us like a blur. I instinctively stood up at lumingon lingon. I looked at some students who got surprised. Because I got alerted, pati sina Miri, Ziel at Hana ay nakatayo na din.
"Bakit may hangin? Naka-close off ang cafeteria." Hana muttered worriedly. And we're in the school premises. On top of that, there's a treaty. Sinong maglalakas loob na sugurin kami?
