Chapter 31‡ The Council House

Pumasok agad ako sa loob ng council house pagka-apak pa lang ng mga paa ko sa lupa. I have to ask Grandpa, what is he doing? Bakit niya pinipigilan na malaman ko ang mga nangyayari sa circle? It's never been like this before.

"Eury! Wait lang!" I didn't even glanced at Miri at patuloy pa din sa paglakad.

"Lady Eury." Nagulat ang dalawang caster na nagbabantay sa harap ng double door papunta sa office ni lolo. I slammed the door open and marched in.

"Teka, lady Eury may kausap si Chief!" I glanced at the two casters coldly. Does it look like I give a damn about it, right now?

"Eury!" Naabutan na ako nila Hana. I noticed their surprise when they realized who owns the room.

"Chief!" They all bowed down to grandpa in respect.

"It seems it's important. I'll talk to the children, Chief." Tumayo mula sa pagkakaupo ang dad ni Clauss. I didn't notice that he's there. He glanced at me and I notice the slight nod he did.

"Yes, Collin."  Grandpa glanced at me sternly. I couldn't blame him, I never acted this way before. Well, neither did grandpa.

"Excuse us. I'll talk with you later." All of them walked out the room quietly kasama ang dad ni Clyde.

"I did it for a reason, Eury." I shut my eyes momentarily. Sinara na ng dalawang bantay na caster ang pinto.

"Grandpa, don't read my mind. What I want to know is why. I don't need to know that there's a reason. I've always listened to you, but I just can't understand.." He sighed and walked closer to face me.

"Eury, I can't tell you." He said as he cupped my face with his hands. I was a bit surprised. Nararamdaman ko ang konting pagnginig ng mga kamay niya. I lift my chin and faced grandpa. I could see nothing but sincerity in his eyes. Pero mas lalo lang nitong dinagdagan ang kagustuhan kong malaman ang mga tinatago ni lolo patungkol sakin.

"Grandpa, I am not weak. Simula bata tinuruan mo ko para maging malakas. Pero hindi ko maintindihan. Ano ba ang dapat kong hindi malaman?" He sighed again. He lets go of my face at umupo sa sofa.

"There are things that is better left untold. You will understand. Ang tournament ang kailangan mong pagtuunan ng pansin." I nodded my head slowly.

"Yes, grandpa. I'm sorry for being a pain in the ass." He smiled as I grinned at him. I hope he's not reading my mind. Dahil kung ayaw sabihin ni lolo ay ako ang maghahanap ng mga kasagutan para sa sarili ko.

"Is that so? Come here, kid. I've missed my little Eury." I smiled as grandpa opened his arms widely for me.

"I've missed you too, grandpa." I said. Bumitaw na siya sa pagyakap. He cleared his throat and raised from his seat. It's been always like this. Parang hindi kami nagtalo. Although I can see it, I may not have Grandpa's ability to penetrate minds, pero nakikita ko na iniiwasan niyang magtanong pa ako.

"Well then, I still have confused students to face. Eury, I warned you about boys-"

"Grandpa! Seriously? Get out of my head." Grandpa snickered and patted my head.

"It wasn't your head I was in. So, Clyde Enrys, huh?" Hindi ako makapaniwalang nakatingin kay lolo.

"Grandpa, you can't just read minds." Technically he can.

"He was worried about you. But, I don't approve of him yet." He drawled out as he walked out of his office leaving me staring at his back in disbelief.

Hindi ko alam kung ano ang dapat kong gawin. It's not like si Clyde lang ang lalaking close sakin. There's Shiro, and Clauss at kahit si Ziel ayos lang din. Why'd he specially mention Clyde all of a sudden?
