Chapter 27: Show You A Good Time

They had walked around the mall for a few hours. Adriana ended up buying herself a dress from one of the stores and she got Tori some heels. Drake had insisted on paying for the items but she declined and told him that he could buy them dinner. He had no choice but to agree because Adriana refused to let him give the cashier his card. Now they were back in the car and headed to get something to eat. She sat quietly beside him as her mind wandered. Drake didn't say anything. He just sat there and watched her. He found himself doing that a lot. He wondered what was going on inside her head. Her phone rang breaking her out of her thoughts. She looked down to see Jeremiah was calling.

She sighed and said "I have to take this." She was annoyed because she was certain he didn't want anything. He never did. "Hello."

"Hey baby, the kids just wanted to say hello." Jeremiah said.

Drake was able to hear what was said and for some reason it bothered him to hear him call her baby.

Adriana rolled her eyes at him calling her baby. "Jay don't call me that. Put them on." She looked over to see Tori rolling her eyes too and wanted to laugh. Tori knew Jay just was well as she did because Adriana told her everything. 

"Hi Mommy!" she heard them both in the phone. She could tell she was on speaker because she could hear the echo.

"Hi babies!" she said with a smile on her face. "I miss you!"

"Miss you too!" the little voices echoed into her ear.

Her smile grew a little bit bigger. "Mommy will see you guys soon. Be good for your daddy. I love you babies!'

"Love you mommy!" they both took turns saying. She heard their little footsteps run away and she knew Jay was going to be back on the phone.

"What do you need Jay?" she said before he spoke again. She was eager to end this call.

"I just wanted to talk to you. Is that okay?" he asked.

"No. I don't have time for this right now. I'm busy. I'm going to hang up now." Adriana said.

"I miss you." Jeremiah said.

Adriana sighed. "Good bye Jay. Please do not call me to talk to me. If it's not about the kids I told you, I don't have time for it. That's all done now." Adriana pulled the phone away from her ear. She heard him sigh into the phone before she ended the call. She looked up at Drake. "I'm so sorry about that."

"You don't need to apologize to me for anything." Drake said to her.

"I can't stand his ass! I just want to beat the shit out of him for you. He's lucky he's a good dad." Tori said.

Adriana laughed. "Tori you're always trying to fight someone."

"Yeah but he deserves it. I mean, who does he think he is just calling you with that bullshit. I know he didn't want shit but to try to butter you up!" Tori said sounding annoyed.

"Can we not talk about him please?" Adriana said. "I just want to enjoy the rest of my time here."

"You're right. I'm sorry girl!" Tori said.  

The silence that filled the car after that was almost unbearable. Adriana was thankful when the car came to a stop and Chubbs said they had reached their destination. He and Tori got out first. Adriana moved to get out but Drake stopped her. "Hey Chubbs, give us a minute?"

Chubbs nodded his head and closed the door. "You good?" He asked Adriana when they were alone.

Adriana turned and looked at him. "Yeah. I'm good. I'm just sorry you keep having to deal with that. It's embarrassing. I don't know why he can't just stop. I never do anything like this and I just want to enjoy myself."

Drake placed his hand on her lap. "Hey, you don't have to be embarrassed. What do you say we go in here an get some food and a few drinks and you forget all about this? After all, I am here to show you a good time right?"

Adriana smiled at him. "Right. That sounds perfect."

Drake couldn't help it, he leaned in and kissed her and she didn't hesitate to kiss him back. He pulled away and bit his bottom lip. "Then maybe later when we go out to that club I can see you in that sexy ass dress you bought since you wouldn't let me see when you tried it on."

Adriana laughed. "Maybe."

Adriana and Victoria were back at their hotel now. Drake had instructed his driver to drop them off there so they could get ready and they would pick them back up on the way to the club. After their chat in the car everything else had gone smoothly. Adriana had gotten some drinks in her system and had forgotten all about Jeremiah. She and Drake had been flirting the whole time and now she found herself weighing out the pros and cons of sleeping with him. "Tori, would you think I was a ho if I slept with Aubrey?"

Victoria dropped the blow dryer she was using to dry her hair and her jaw dropped. She picked it back up, turned it off and put it down. "OH MY GOD!! BITCH ARE YOU FOR REAL?"

Adriana shrugged her shoulders. "I mean, I know it would never be anything serious. Just a one night stand and I'm okay with that. Tori, he's just.... I don't know. I can't explain it. There's some type of connection there and.... I just want to so bad. The way he looks at me just makes it that much more exciting Tori. Do you think he would think I was a ho if I did?"

"I can't even believe that you're actually considering it. But no, I would not think you were and ho and I highly doubt he would see you that way. Girl how could you be a ho when he would only be the second guy you have ever had sex with in your entire life? Come on!" Tori said to her.

"Well yeah, we know that..... and I told him that. But that doesn't mean he believes me." Adriana said.

"Girl, just.... don't think about it. If that moment presents itself and it feels right for you then go for it. But please don't spend the entire night thinking about it. I know how you are." Tori said.

"You're right." Adriana said and hugged her.

"Of course I am. Now go get your damn dress on and finish getting ready! We are going to have blast tonight. What is it that Drake says? YOLO?" she laughed.

Adriana shook her head. "Okay YOLO!"
