Nandini opened her eyes and looked at manik who was still lost in the moment with his eyes closed. She smiled and moved back slowly. Manik came to his senses and looked at her confused.
M- yeh kya tha?
N- i just wanted to feel peaceful toh...
M- peace from?
N- nothing
She said walking away. Manik tries to change the topic
M- haan so jabhi tumhe kisi ladke pe chance marni hai toh you try out these tricks? He says smirking
Nandini turns around and smiles widely
N- ohhhhh tum tum impress hogaye?
M- no? He said looking away
N- acha toh aanke band karke itni der thumne itni der roka kyun nahi? She said walking towards him teasingly
M- woh.. i was just going with the flow nothing else.. he says sulking.
N- awwww shooo cute!!! She says giggling and pulling his cheeks.
M- what the hell?! I'm not cute.. he says jerking her hand away
N- ofc you are! Jab tum gussa hote ho na bilkhul angry bird ki tarah lagte ho! So cuteeee she said smiling like a kid
M- whatever, mere dimaag mat khao.... i'm anyways stuck here with you for god knows how long... zada irritate karoge to mere haathon murder hojayega.
N- ok ok mr manik malhotra calm down!

She goes and sits next to the wall with her back resting against it. And manik sits near the door in the same position. Both of them keep silent for a while.
N- i'm getting bored kuch khele? She says looking at manik.
M- kya?
N- mmmmmmmm.....word vomit!!!
M- woh kya hai?
N- basically main ek word boolongi and tumhe dimaag mein uske baad jo bhi word ata hai tumhe bolna hoga.
M- sounds stupid
N- manik! Stupidity mein bohot maza hota hai!!!
Manik gets shocked listening to that statement because his taara used to say it bachpan mein.
N- kaha kho gaye ho
Nandini says snapping her fingers before him.
M- n..nothing , fine
N- awesome! Chalo i'll start!
She says excited, sitting right in front to him.
N- sky
M- stars
N- bright
M- light
N- dosti
M- fab 5
N- family
Manik pauses... and looks away
N- hmmm toh you have a problem with your family...
M- what nonsense. he says getting up
Mujhe yeh game nahi khelni hai...
N- manik it's okay... nandini says getting up and going to him, she puts her hand on manik's shoulder. Manik turns around and looks at her with painful eyes. Nandini holds his hand and brings him to wall and makes him sit down, and sis beside him.
N- you know manik problems har family mein hoti hai... but as a child you shouldn't keep all this pain hidden within you, let it out, let go... you'll feel much lighter. She says still holding manik's hand.
Manik looks at, his heart wanted to believe everything she said, he wanted to share all his pain with her, he was ready to let go.
M- mere parents ne mujhe kabhi pyaar nahi kiya..you know nandini bachpan mein everytime i used to win something  mein ghar jata tha to show my mom and dad, and guess what...woh toh kabhi nahi hote the... my so called mother neyonika...she ised be busy partying all day and night, come home drunk dad se jadga karti thi and that's it...she never cared to come look for me, to ask me how I was.... nothing. And dad...he used to keep himself busy at work....humesha travel karna...and that's all...haan one good thing was woh atleast ek month mein ek baar mera haal poochte the...but what could i have said in those 5minutes of talking to him... manik said looking down tearing up...i used to get into fights, fail exams takhi woh koi reaction de paye but nothing nothing ever helped.... dad toh bas ek atm account hai...for me and for neyonika too... she only uses people... infact she can't be called a mother, woh itni giri hui hai... on my 18th birthday jab mein ghar aya...i saw her... he looked away in disgust and anger.
Nandini started to tear up hearing him.... and placed her other hand on his shoulder.
N- manik it's okay...
M- manik realises what he was going to say and get consious... he sits up and takes hos hand away from nandini's and looks away.
Nandini smiles and leans back.
N- mere parents mujhse bohot pyaar karte the... they always made me feel loved. Appa aur amma mujhe humesha long drive pe leke jaate the, we used to look at the stars through a telescope. Meri har birthday pe appa mujhe mere age ke hisaab se birthday gifts dete the... he would come every morning and kiss me on my forehead and wake me up... aur amma... she used to make me woh special payasam.. meri har birthday pe... mere paaas sab kuch tha manik but ek saal mein god ne mujhe woh sab cheen liya... everyone i loved...
Manik looked at her confused....nandini teared up heavily still looking ahead blankly
N- use din meri hum log phir se ek long drive pe jaa rahe the to see the stars....mein appa ko bohot irritate kar rahi thi, that morning he wasn't home to kiss my forehead kyunki unhe work pe jaldi jana tha... appa ne bohot baar sorry bola but main nahi mani... he turned around to make me smile and usi waqt aage se truck ayi and.. Amma and appa protected me... i got just a few scars...10 days baad  i woke up from a coma only to realise that amma appa nahi the wahan... they had passed away... on the spot.. har din i wish ki unhe mein us din bata pati how much i loved them... how grateful i was to have them in my life... but us ek galti ke wajeh se
Nandini burst out crying. Manik's heart sank seeing her like this, he didn't realise when his eyes had teared up too... he didn't wait to think and hugged her tightly. Both of them felt peace beyond imagination with each other.... they sat there in the same position for ages... nandini kept sobbing and manik was comforting her.
M- nandini, unhe pata tha that you love them...tumne kuch galat nahi kiya... he said patting her back.
Nandini moved away and smiled wiping her tears.
N- thankyou
She said weakly, still smiling.
Manik smiled back at her and held her face between the palm of his hands and brought her face closer to his...and kissed her forehead. He himself didn't realise what he was doing. But he felt right. Nandini felt his lips against her skin and blushed to herself
They moved back
N- manik?
M- woh game complete karte hai.. he said looking at her smiling.
Nandini giggles.
N- i'm tired
M- hmm...
N- manik
M- hm?
N-mere gaana gao ge? She asks him looking innocently.
M- abhi?
N- haan
M- fine... he says smiling...
this was side to manik he hadn't seen in years. He could be whatever he wanted to be, feel calm and happy... just like he did with taara.
Manik starts to sing

Hmm.. hmm...

Manik sings looking at nandini lovingly, and she smiles and him admiring him.

He gets up and extends his hand to her, he looks at him confused, he grabs her hand and makes her stand up and holds her waist and pulls her closer.

Manik slow dances with nandini, twirling her around, moving side to side, pulling her closer by the minute and nandini looks at him lovingly.

She moves back and sits on the ground where they sat earlier and manim sits next to her still looking deep into her eyes with love. Nandini grabs his hand and settles her self on his shoulderc holding his arm possessively. He puts him arm around her and holds her close to him.

Hmmm.. hmmm..

Manik thinks of taara making him smile, and how they used to watch the stars together and smiles

He remembers her telling him how she'll always shine for him....

Manik looks at nandini who is fast asleep and admires her pouty lips and her adorable cheeks.

Hmmm... hmmm..

Nandini falls asleep on his on his chest, near his heart, still holding his hand firmly. Manik admires her and kisses her forehead yet again..and tilts his head on her's and closes his eyes and dozes off.

Manik's POV
Mujhe kyun itna farak pad raha hai nandini ke liye? Why are you coming so close to me nandini, why do i smile seeing you smile? Why do i cry seeing you cry? Tum mujhe itni apni kyun lagti ho?
... mujhe adat nahi hai iski...everyone i love is snatched away from me... tum bhi dur hojaoge just like taara did...
i don't want to lose you Nandini...

That night two hearts found themselves closer to each other, a new found emotion was brewing up in the air...love was yet to be found.
