35~ Only you can heal me

Manik held the side of his face where nandini had slapped him and looked at her with teary eyes. Nandini pushed him off the bed and started him hitting him of his chest. Manik didn't stop her as he knew what nandini was going through mentally. She wanted to let all her anger and pain out and he allowed her to do so. Nandini pushed manik and repeated slapped him acting like a mad person. She was crying badly. Eventually she pushed him down on the floor.
N- why didn't you come manik?! Tum jaldi kyun nahi aye?! I was crying for you ....screaming out your name!!! Kisi ne nahi suna..... she yelled coming on top of him.
N- aryaman he ...he touched me everywhere.... i have become dirty!!!! Impure!!!! Look what he did to me manik!!!! Why didn't you come earlier manik?!! I trusted you!!!! I believed ki tum mujhe protect kar loge but you didn't!!! She yelled at him crying. Manik was crying equally bad believing everything she was saying. But in all honesty this was just her pain that was coming out. She didn't know what she was saying or what she was doing.
Nandini fell on manik's chest getting exhausted and cried holding him tight.
N- please don't hate me manik.... please.... i know I have become dirty and that i'm unworthy of you now... but i will die without you... she cries slipping away into a deep slumber soon after. Manik holds her and cries his heart out. Whatever she said could be under the influence of traumatic experiences but manik was equally hurt. He was already blaming himself for everything... nandini's words only solidified his beliefs. Manik carried nandini is his arms and put her down on bed. He kissed her face and her hands multiple times. He turned the lights off and walked out of the room closing the door behind. Manik walked to the backyard and imagined all his and nandini's moments there.... how happy they were and what had become of them now.... he fell to the ground and recalled everything nandini had said earlier...
He suddenly gets cabir's call
C- manik sab theek hai na wahan? I have informed everyone ki nandini ke saath kya hua tha... we are coming there right now... nandini ko sab ki saath ki zaroorat hogi abhi...
manik stays silent.
C- manik? Kuch bol kyun nahi raha? Are you okay?
"It's all my fault" he repeated senselessly with a blank face...
C- manik kya bol raha hai? Nothing is your fault...
manik cut the call...
soon enough manik couldn't take it any longer and got into his car and started driving it rashly thinking about all the things nandini said and had to go through... her crying face... the marks and bruises on her body.... her breakdown. He cursed himself for not being able to protect her... he drives at a high speed when he sees a truck coming in front of himanik quickly manages to turn the steering sideways just in time to miss the truck. He hits a massive tree on the side block and gets injured badly hitting his head against the steering wheel.

On the otherside,
Nandini wakes up screaming manik's name! She looks around and finds darkness as manik had turned the light off. Nandini runs out of the room yelling manik's name worried to not find him around. She runs downstairs and looking everwhere... in the kitchen, the dining room, the living room, backyard but manik was no where to be found. Nandini starts sweating badly out of fear and worry. She starts crying for manik. She runs to the front door but bangs into someone on way. She moves away in fear and sees that it's her ams.... cabir mukti, navya , dhruv and nandini's family had reached there in time. Nandini sees ams and hugs her tightly and breaks down in her arms....
ams hugs her tightly crying thinking about her grandchild's pain. Chacha, chachi rishab ... navya and mukti take turns and hugs nandini to comfort her. Nandini gets a bit normal having everyone around her. She looks around...
N- manik... kahan hai? She asks cabir
C- i don't know nandini... he says looking down..
Nandini gets up and walks upto him
N- what do you mean you don't know? Woh yahin tha... abhi... kuch der pehle.. mere saath she stammers panicking.
Ams holds her shoulder
Ams- kanna woh yahin kahin hoga don't worry... abhi aa jayega..
N- no... no he won't he has left me... chod le chala gaya hai woh mujhe... i'm dirty na abhi.., i'm worthless... i.. i don't deserve him... she cries.
Ams cries too hearing her.
N- maine use itna kuch bol diya... i hate myself... she breaks down falling on the ground crying.
Ams hugs her to comfort her and looks up at cabir.
Cabir nods negatively indicating to her that manik isn't okay.
" nandini"
suddenly nandini hears a voice that lets the blood rush through her veins again. She looks behind ams and sees manik standing there with a injured head. Blood was dripping down his forehead and his condition was bad. Red eyes... that showed how much he had been crying... bruised hands from the accident... messy hair... shabby state of clothes. He looked disheveled. Nandini got up slowly and walked up to him with a slight smile.
N- tum ho yahan...
manik looked at her painfully.
Nandini took her hands up and touched his broad arms, his shoulders and traced it upto his face... she touched his forehead which was injured.
N- y...yeh... kaise hua.. she stammered in worry with teary eyes.
Manik took her hand and kissed it.
M- i'm okay nandini... i'm sorry... i couldn't protect you.. tum mujhe jo saza dena chahti ho de sakti ho... but please don't hate me... i won't be able to bear it... tumhe pata hai when they said you were no more... i didn't believe them.... mujhe pata tha you were alive because agar tumari heartbeats band hojati toh mine would have too. I tried my best getting to you as soon as I can... but ...he cries out.., i still got late... i failed you nandini... i have no right to come in front of you... everything is my fault... i should have protected you... i couldn't keep my promise... i failed.. you... he cried out falling to the ground looking down. Nandini cries listening to him. She realised how badly he was hurt.. how not just her words but the whole incident was equally traumatizing to him. She knelt down in front of him and held his face in her palms. She brought his face up and kissed his tears away.
N- you can never fail me manik... aaj main agar zinda hoon it's only because of you...you took care of me... loved me in everyway possible... tumare pyaar ne hi mujhe cure kiya... aaj whatever i said was because main apni hosh mein nahi thi.... sach toh yeh hai ki agar tum wahan nahi pohonch pate... toh... she hiccuped in tears.
N- manik i need you... i need us... our love.. tumare bina whatelse do I have? This is all that's left of me... you are my sanity... only you can heal me. She cried to him. I can never imagine hating you in my life... i love you manik... not today not tomorrow... humesha... she says touching their foreheads together. Everyone in the room get teary eyed seeing their pure love. Ams and cabir silently get everyone out of the room leaving the lovers alone.
Manik holds nandini's face and looks into her eyes...
M- we will heal each other nandini... and aaj ke baad don't you dare say you are dirty or worthless... you will alway be the purest soul for me... every part of you is only mine... and it is perfect..you deserve all the happiness in the world and i will give it to you... we will come out of this stronger. He says determinedly.
Nandini nods at him. Manik leans in and kisses her lips passionately. This time nandini dominates him and responds harshly taking all her pain and frustration out. They both enter their dreamlands and explore each others mouths. Manik breaks the kiss and kisses all over her face and leans in to touch their foreheads. Nandini feels at peace at last... so does manik.
