"Hi John! How have you been?" I asked him walking into his room.

He looked up at me and gave a small smile.
"Are you okay?" I asked him concerned.

"Yes yes I'm fine, just reminiscing I guess" he sighed "I just miss the way my life used to be" he turned away and looked out the window.

"Would you like to be left alone?" I asked him. I presumed so considering he had turned away but I also didn't want to leave without ensuring so.

"It's nothing personal, Lily. But yes please" he said just above a whisper as his eyes looked up towards the bright sun in the somewhat cloudy sky.

I nodded to myself closed his door and left. It was horrible seeing him down, although it was of course understandable, he had no family here.

"Lily" Sharon called from behind me.
I turned to face her with a smile.

"Please don't get offended by John, he has his days when he really misses his kids and wife. Just don't take it personally" she smiled at me. "You can leave early if you like, we don't have much for you to do" she smiled at me.

I nodded and grabbed my bag. I decided to change in the bathroom for dance class, that was my next destination.
By times it honestly felt like I lived either in the studio or in this nursing home.. other than school I spent all of my time between the two places.

I was surprised to see that Christine was not at her desk in reception. I walked into the studio and was greeted by Sylvia and Adam.

I smiled quickly and put my bag on the floor grabbing my pointe shoes and beginning to prepare.

"Okay guys whenever you are ready we will get started" Sylvia smiled as she finished drinking her usual cup of coffee.
I quickly tie up my shoes and get ready.

I walked over to Adam as he pulls off his hoodie. When his head appeared from behind his hoodie his hair was all messed up and hanging over his face slightly.

It was ridiculous. Ridiculously attractive.
I had the strangest urge to reach out and touch it, I never would of course but the urge was still there.

He smiled at me slightly as he ran his fingers through it, slightly taming it.
I took in a deep breath in an attempt to settle myself as Sylvia got ready to turn on the music.

"Okay?" Adam asked quietly from beside me and I nod in return smiling ever so slightly at the fact that he had even asked.

After we completed the dance we stood waiting for Sylvia to comment. She stood staring at us for a moment, not saying anything.
"Okay" she starts "from the rehearsal it was clear that both of you know the steps, clearly. You are both doing a brilliant job of performing the steps but I just... I need more." She states walking closer to us.

"This whole dance, represents two people that are trying to stay away from each other, but they can't because they are in love with each other" she tells us looking between us. "I need to see that"

"But, we aren't in love with each other" Adam bluntly pointed out.

I wanted to sink into the floor at this point. The entire topic of love was completely uncomfortable, considering that Adam was standing right beside me. It was clear to anyone that Adam is a ridiculously attractive guy, if anyone denied it they would be lying. Obviously I find him attractive, who wouldn't?
The thing that made me uncomfortable about the situation was me.. plain old me. Of course he was correct in saying we weren't in love, because we aren't. But at least I find him attractive, it is obvious however, that he has less than no interest in me so I don't know how he was going to pull this off.
