"You'll take the full body check-up," Isinandal ko ang likod sa backrest, niyakap ko na lang ang sarili. "Don't be afraid, you'll not take the virginity test, Hurricane. Checking the shape of the hymen and the two-finger test is not a valid indication of intercourse."

"Virginity is a social construct. The test simply doesn't respect a woman's integrity, Ate Fiona. My statement is enough and reliable, there's no need for me to take it. It just doesn't add up."

"Perhaps, someone challenged her," I spoke. Ate Fiona looked at me with amusement in her eyes. "I'm not wrong, right?" She nodded as she smiled. Now, it all makes sense. She rushed this for a reason. "Tito Paul," Bintang ko.

"I don't know," Mabilis na sagot niya. "She'll surely work behind the curtains now," Aniya. "Perhaps, she's already in doubt." Napakunot ako, kibit balikat itong pinutol ang sasabihin.

"In doubt of what?" "Why sought this full body check up, then?"

True enough, she'll do the magic behind the curtains now.

The rest of it will come, Mommy's the only one who can tell me the whole truth.

"They're asking for Mrs. De Vera," She spoke.

Ate Fiona opened the door for us and I went in first. My gaze immediately went to Doctor Mendez, Aleana's Dad.

"It's been a while, Hurricane." Tumango ako't ngumiti. Kinamayan niya rin ang kasama ko.  "I'm quite surprised that you're not with Aeryn for this session, she never missed one, now she did." He continued. We sat immediately after greeting each other.

"She didn't inform me with this one, Doc.

"Your mother loves surprises," He turned his gaze to Mother's Secretary, they beamed at each other. "That's what makes her amazing right? You don't know what she's up to," Doc shook his head, still smiling.

Surely, my mother already left a mark on the mind of these people. Either for the good or the bad, it's how they see her. In the field of business, she's lethal. In front of the child she raised, she's still a mother.

"Shall we start?" I simply nodded, he turned his swivel chair in my direction as he starts the preliminary examination. It includes my height and weight, then blood pressure and pulse rate. "Are you in a healthy living?" I slightly nodded with that question.
