Chapter 26: A Beautiful Alex and A Newly Broken Heart
Lynsey’s POV:
Two o’clock and Alex walked into the door. No knock. Just walked right in. That’s Alex for you.
Alex, just so you know, is the definition of beauty. She has majestic hazel eyes and long brown hair that has a hint of red to it. She has flawless skin and a perfect body. She’s got the body of an athlete because, you guessed it, she’s an athlete and it is the perfect size. She skinny, but not so skinny that she looks unhealthy. The perfect size. She’s got long legs and calf muscles like nobody’s business. She’s the perfect height for an athlete where she’s a little bit taller than most girls, but only by a couple of inches. Alex knows how to match outfits and how to do the make-up that’s perfect for her. The thing is, she doesn’t need make-up so she doesn’t over do it. She’s honestly as pretty as an angel. Which, if I’m being honest, I’m totally jealous of. But I mean who wouldn’t be?
“Hey Bitch!” she screamed, tossing her duffel bag to the side and taking off her combat boots and placing them next to it. She started to walk over towards the couch where I was sitting before she quickly stopped and looked in front of her, “Um… not to worry you or anything, but you kind of have glass all over your floor.” she gestured towards the floor with her hand at the smashed glass from earlier.
“Oh.. yeah that.” I said, “Um… I should probably clean that up.”
“No. No.” she waved her hand at me, “I’ll get it.” she bent down and was about to pick up a piece of glass before looking up at me, “Is your brother home?”
I rolled my eyes at the mention of him and let out a giant breath.
“Okay then?” she said.
“He’s in his room, probably.” I answered.
She smiled evilly.
“What are you going to-”
“SHAWN!” she yelled suddenly.
“Alex!” I yell-whispered, “What the hell are you doing?”
“Shhh.” she flapped her right hand in the air.
I heard walking from down the hall, “What the- Alex? Hey.” Shawn said when he saw Alex standing at the door.
“Hey. Clean this glass up for us?” she asked.
“Um… uh… yeah sure.” he said walking into the kitchen.
Shawn is pretty powerless when it comes to house guests. He hates saying ‘no’ to them, so he will usually do anything they ask. Alex learned this over the numerous times she’s come to my house. One time she got him to give her a back massage and paint her toe nails pink. It was crazy funny. I have some pictures to prove it too. After that she pretty much figured this out.
Alex made her way over to the couch and flopped down next to me, putting her feet up on the coffee table that I moved back in front of the couch a while ago.
“So what’s first?” I asked looking over at her.
“Um…” she tapped her chin with her index finger, “Junk food and movies?”
I smiled and nodded, it was going to be a good night.
Alex got up and put in Up before coming back and grabbing the bowl of popcorn I had put on the coffee table.
We watched for a while as we shoved face fulls... and yes I mean face fulls... of junk food into our mouth. 101 minutes later, when the movie was over and the credits were going, I looked over at Alex, “So tell me again. Why did you join swim team mid-season?”
