Kim Jeonyul drummed her short fingernails against the dinner table as she stared up at the clock hung by the wall. A sigh left her lips when she noticed that it was already a few minutes past eleven. Dejectedly, she let her eyes land on the variety of dishes prepared nicely on the table. They used to look delicious a few hours ago, but now, they turned cold and didn't look so appetizing anymore.
*I guess he's not coming home anytime soon. Again.* Jeonyul thought sadly as she got up from the chair, pushing it with the back of her knees and hence, creating a disturbing sound as the legs scraped against the floor. Jeonyul began wrapping the dishes with the plastic wrapper before putting them inside the refrigerator.
After flipping off the light switch and let the kitchen get engulfed with darkness, Jeonyul trudged up the staircase and entered her lonely room. She was being slow on purpose as a big part of her was hoping that the front door would swing open and reveal her boyfriend, safe and sound. But her hope crashed down as soon as she stepped inside her room and heard nothing but mere silence.
Silence. She had been living with it nowadays. Silence was the only thing that accompanied her whenever she was at home.
After washing her face and brushing her teeth, Jeonyul slipped into her Hello Kitty pajamas and untied her hair, letting the strands fall off to her shoulders and rest comfortably against her back. Her long, slender fingers ran down to untangle some knots before she plodded towards her bed. She then crawled underneath her thick blanket and snatched off her phone from the nightstand beside her bed.
In hopefulness, she clicked on the button to brighten up the screen but as soon as she saw no texts and calls from her boyfriend, her hope yet again crashed down like bricks falling off into a pile of mud. Sighing, she connected her phone back to the charger before she stared up at the plain, white ceiling.
"Jungkook-ah, come back home soon." she whispered and her voice simply dissolved in thin air, ended up useless as the person mentioned wasn't even home to hear the desperate plea.

"Come here, my love. Come closer to me. Don't stay away from me... Don't avoid me..."

"5 days and counting." Jeonyul mumbled as she crossed a date on the calendar with a red sharpie. She frowned when she saw the big, fat, five crosses which seemed to be cackling at her. Jeonyul put the calendar aside before she lay her head over her arm on the study table.
Yes. It had officially been five days since Jungkook went out. Even if he did go home though, he would just be around to get some fresh new clothes before going back out again. She could barely see him everyday because he would always come when she was already in bed and left the house before she could even open her eyes to greet him with her loving smile.
And even this morning, he came to get his jacket and left without any intention to communicate with his own girlfriend of 2 years. When Jeonyul calmly asked him on where he was going to, he replied with a harsh tone, "Out."
*I wonder what he was doing outside that he didn't have the time to spend time with me again.* Jeonyul thought as she began folding her arms and hid her face in it. "I feel like I was the only one who lives here." she murmured sadly against the skin of her arm, tickling it with the movement of her lips.
Minute by minute, her head began to get cloudy as she continued wondering what her boyfriend was up to nowadays. Both the curiosity and suspicion were overwhelming by now and she felt like her head would explode in any seconds.
"Just wait patiently for him." her mind whispered.
"Wait? Psh. Stop lazing around and go out to search for him." her heart argued.
