chapter 1

Set right after Jughead puts on the serpent jacket

Betty:Juggie

Jughead looks over at Betty seeing the disappointment and fear in her eyes while he's still caught in the moment with no words.

Serpents:your officially one of us Jughead Jones

The serpents straightened their jackets

Serpents: come find us if you need us or anything, you know where we are

Then they walked off...

Jughead took a slight step foward but then remembered about him and betty. Hanging his head down in defeat knowing he let Betty down.

Jughead:I'm sorry Betty

Betty: how could you do this?

Jughead: i don't know how to do anything anymore Betty, I'm just a lost one on the other side of the tracks

Betty:you said we aren't our parents. Now look at you! Your a serpent just like your dad Jughead! Why do you want a life with that jacket?

Jughead: cause  with this jacket is my life Betty. I was destined to be one of the serpents. I'm a Jones and were dark,shattered,outcasted people in the world.

Betty:this isn't you Jughead! You've never wanted anytning to do with a life of crime or your dad's path

Jughead: I can't ignore it Betty, I'm the son of FP jones who's a important member in the serpents. No matter how much i could try yo escape the serpents. I can't caude there my family. Rather i like it or not

Betty:what does this mean for us?

Jughead:what do you mean?

Betty: are you gonna just choose the bad gang over me? Or do you still love me?

Jughead:i love you Betts but i am a serpent and i can't deny it no more

Betty: I don't wanna see you getting hurt jughead

Jughead: hurt isn't new for me, im used to pain and failure

Betty sighs tears forming her inner eyes but she holds them back as jughead tries to approach her but she backs up

Betty: I'm gonna g-go, goodnight Jughead

Jughead:Betts wait please don't go

Jughead gripped Betty's arm pulling her back

Betty: we both need to call it a night cause it's been hectic. Just clear your head and text me tomrrow Juggie

Jughead:Betty listen to me

Betty:I'm listening

Jughead turns her around

Jughead:i love you Betty Cooper and nothing will change that

Betty: what if you forget about me?

Jughead: i could try but your smile and bubbly personality is very contagious Bets

Betty: i do love you hard head Jones

Jughead:right back at ya  Nancy Cooper

Betty chuckled

Betty: But i really should go home before my mom kills me or files a missing persons report on me

Jughead: I wish you didn't cause it get awfully lonely here

Betty:stop making me geel guilty Jug

Jughead looks at Betty with a grin

Betty: okay fine I'll call my mom and tell her I'm at Ronnie's for the night

Jughead:good, now I'll make popcorn

Betty:okay?

Jughead does an epic hair flip and walks to the kitchen while Betty giggles and calls her mom.

Betty:hey mom I'm staying at Veronica for the night, yeah,yeah  i'll be good.  I know mom okay bye

Betty hangs up

Betty:oh my god she's such an ear sore it's like her voice moves and fills the whole room at once, is she trying to make me deaf?

Jughead:popcorn is done

Betty: i wish i could just move out already grrrrrr...

Jughead plops a piece of popcorn in his mouth walking back over to betty and stares at her

Betty:are you even listening to me?

Jughead: if you hate your mom so much just move in with me Bets

Betty: i don't hate my mom but she's annoying and you know my mother wouldn't let me move in here with you

Jughead: maybe you should ask?

Betty: when we were freshmen and i wanted to go to some random dude's party, i asked my mom and she screamed then put an alarm on our front door

Jughead: But she knows me, I'm not just a random dude

Betty: she doesn't like you completely cause of your dad though

Jughead:  Just give it a thought okay? Now come on let's watch a movie

Jughead yanks Betty over to the couch

Betty: woah, what movie?

Jughead: something dark and mysterious

Betty: seriously? Come on have some fun Jughead

Jughead:fine... what do you wanna watch?

Betty:hmm what about mmmm i don't know

Jughead: well that's great

Betty: can we watch a cute movie?

Jughead:cute?

Betty:yeah

Jughead: if it's talking animals that's just creepy

Betty: fine let's watch your stupid dark movie

Jughead: mine aren't all dark, i like some classics Bets

Betty: oh what like Rocky? Or The breakfast club

Jughead: hey those are good classics!

Betty:fine but I'll probably just sleep through it

Betty  sighs and Jughead turns on the movie watching it for awhile then betty falls asleep during it while Jughead was wide awake
