Chapter 39

A few days later...

Feeling like her world was burning and crashing down. Without her other half to hold her up. She felt useless just wanting to get him back but had no idea how. Betty gazed up at the ceiling trying to figure out what to do. She knew she couldn't wait anymore and that he needed her help. If there family was gonna be restored she needed to take charge. "Looks like i'll have to follow the eye of the devil" Betty said to herself

After a chill day at Riverdale High Betty followed the pink devil out hoping to be lead to her lost beanie boy. Betty knew it was risky, knowing she could get hurt but this was just a leap of faith. she was gonna have to take that .

Betty followed down east side of Riverdale High near a woods approaching upon a ivory colored house. Watching the girl walk in Betty hid behind a bush watching. Within a split second the girl came back out and walked off from her house. Betty followed again to an unfamilar area with a big old barn looking structure. The doors slid open as Toni walked in and Betty eased drop from the outside.

Toni: hey Jughead just stopping by as usual just to see how your doing and to tell you that you don't have to worry about Betty cause I have plans for her

Jughead felt dazed only hearing half of what Toni had said as he was pretty much almost unconscious in and out

Toni: yeah this is only part one to revenge but I'll let you know more later now I gotta scram off to the serpents so later

Toni closed the doors evacuating the area

Betty was pissed with many questions. She may never get answers to. Wondering why her own boyfriend had to be the victim because of her

Betty went up to the doors and pushed them open turning on a light and walks in looking around

Betty: hello anyone here? Jughead!?

Snap! clip! a rope came tumbling down

Betty screamed as the rope tied around her and she panicked trying to become loose

"Well...well...well"

A voice dreadfully sounded

Betty gasped trying to keep calm

"Betty Cooper wow you thought you could escape me and save your precious little boyfriend but your wrong!"

Betty breathed heavily as the pink demon walked closer

Betty:what do you want Toni!

Toni: oh Betty I don't want just anything... But I do want one thing

Betty: like what?

Toni: for you to pay!

Toni screamed and Betty shuddered

Betty: Look if this for Jughead's lack of effort-

Toni: save it! This isn't about Jughead, it's about you!

Betty: me? What did I do?

Toni: you Coopers are cold blooded raptors with no respect for anyone but yourselves! Because of you my life is ruined and now you will continue to pay! You want Jughead it's not gonna happen ! I've got my eyes on you!

Betty: Please Toni for whatever I supposedly did I'm sorry! But please don't hurt Jughead I love him!

Betty almost started crying

Toni: if you desire to find your boyfriend maybe there's something you can do for me

Betty looks at Toni completely confused

Toni: bring me your mother and don't come with backup and then I'll let Jughead free back to you

Betty: o-okay

Toni: meet me back here tomorrow at 4pm sharp and don't bring anyone else

Betty nods

Toni quickly unties the ropes around Betty

Toni: now go!

Betty rubs her arms and leaves immediately as thoughts swarm through her mind and she goes to her mom's

Betty: mom!

Alice: yes?

Betty: I need help!

Alice: what's wrong?

Betty: Jughead has been kidnapped by a psycho path named Toni Topaz!

Alice: oh god she has a daughter

Betty: yes?

Alice: her mother was but probably still is nuts

Betty:well because of you apprently she's taken Jug away from me and the only way I can get him back is to bring you with me

Alice looks at Betty

Alice: so the witch wants to play? well I'll gladly give her a show down

Betty: tomrrow at 4 but I'm not allowed to bring back up

Alice laughs

Alice: Betty don't listen to her she sounds just as crazy like her mother and she's not gonna give you Jughead back that easy so we need backup

Betty: but she said no

Alice: well I say yes so go call sheriff Keller and explain the scenario

Betty: mom I want Jugback back!

Alice: and you'll get him back if you just listen to me Elizabeth

Betty: fine but if anything happens to him after this I blame you!

Alice: just call the sheriff and go home and get some rest you look tired

Betty: I've barley slept for days cause I can't sleep without him

Betty tries not to cry again

Alice goes over to her daughter

Alice: I know it's hard but it's gonna be fine

Betty sighs

Alice: now you need your rest

Betty: I can't sleep

Alice: your old room is still here if you wanna sleep in it

Betty:  what difference will that make?

Alice: I'm just offering incase you don't wanna sleep alone in an empty house

Betty: I can't sleep anyways no matter where I am

Alice: would Jughead want you to be like this? depriving yourself over him?

Betty: probably not

Alice: exactly

Betty: but mom-

Alice: Elizabeth!  Enough! I am still your mother and even though your gonna be one in a few months and you've moved out does not mean that I can't tell you what to do!

Betty: what do you suggest then?

Alice: sleep here in your old room or try to atleast

Betty: fine

Betty grumbles going upstairs and opens the door to her old room and looks around going to her old bed slowly laying into as she last left it closing her eyes
