Chapter 17

Betty: god is that you?

Jughead: Betty!

Betty snapped and looked over to see those bright blue,green eyes looking back at her

Betty: Juggie your awake!

Betty dried her tears as more kept flowing and hugged jugjead carefully

Jughead looked at Betty

Betty: are you okay?

Betty met his eyes

Jughead: yeah I'm alright

Betty: do you want me to get you anything? Maybe some water?

Jughead: my throat is a little scratchy

Betty got up and got jughead some water coming back and hands it to him as he gulps it down quickly and coughs

Betty: Juggie I...  I'm sorry this happened to you

Betty looked down

Jughead: it's not your fault

Betty retook Jughead's hand and fought off her tears as she knew she should wait to talk about the baby but still needed to know us thoughts

Betty: do you need anything else?

Jughead: no

Betty nodded just being relieved he was awake

Jughead: but why'd you come back?

Betty: Because.... No matter what happened between us I still love you

Betty met his eyes

Betty: I never stopped loving you

Jughead: you pushed me out and told me to go

Betty looked down again not knowing what to say but he was right

Jughead: I don't know what you want from me

Betty: Jughead I was just so scared of you pushing me away that I did it to you. I was focused on all the things I thought you were doing right when I actually didn't realize that you were trying to protect me

Betty looked back up

Betty: I can leave if you want , I'll understand

Jughead: I told you I was but you judged me and it hurt because why would I lie to you Betty?

Betty: I wasn't thinking straight Jughead , I just..

Jughead: you what? You didn't trust me? believe me? What could it just be?

Betty: I didn't believe you because I was so focused on myself and focused on the fact that you weren't with me that I didn't realize why

Betty's eyes were filled with tears as her pregnancy hormones were kicking in at the worst time

Jughead: everyone thinks I'm a bad guy

Betty: I don't think your a bad guy

Betty thought of his run in with Archie

Jughead: yeah well you did before and now I'm hated and not wanted

Betty let a couple tears run down her face

Betty: Jughead I love you

Jughead: are you sure about that? Cause last time I told you that , you didn't believe me

Betty: I do know

Jughead sighed laying his head back

Jughead: I'm just stuck Betty cause whatever I do won't be good enough or Archie will just come and attack me
