Chapter 15

1 week later ...

BettyPOV: one week gone by and my heart is still breaking. I'm not sure how it's still breaking when it's already broken. Day by day I watch Jughead stay asleep and show me no sign of awakening. Part of me wonders if he'll ever awake? Truth is I'm not ready to raise our child alone and I still don't have an answer as to if he wants our child. What if I never know and I'm a single parent? What would I tell our future son or daughter where their dad is? Some many questions left unanswered and so much time I spend pondering. Archie and Veronica have both been trying desperately to cheer me up but nothing makes me smile.
I slowly loose more and more hope by the days I sit here alone.  I just wanna be held again and told I'm loved. I wanna feel his warm touch send warm tingles up and down my body. I wanna feel his soft lips melt against mine. I wanna be called Bets again and go back to being Bughead again.  Just forget our fight ever happened and start over again. Life is too short to spend fighting.

Veronica walks in

Veronica: hey Betty

Betty: hi

I sighed not even turning to acknowledge her

Veronica: I brought you a muffin and some milk that you need to consume

Betty: I'm not in a consuming mood

Veronica: well it don't matter cause the baby needs you to eat cause if you don't eat then your basically just starving the baby.

Betty: im not  hungry !

Veronica: well I'll just set them here then for when your ready

Veronica leaves them on the side

Betty: I wish I knew what he was thinking right now

Veronica: Betty this isn't healthy , you need to get out and smell the roses

Betty: no

Veronica: fine then I'll make Archie come and carry you out

Veronica leaves

Veronica: Arch she won't eat and is being stubborn

Archie: time for plan B

Archie goes into Jughead's room and grabs Betty from behind

Betty: no let go! I need to be with Jughead!

Archie: not right now

Betty screams and Archie yanks her out back to the waiting room and out of the hospital doors

Betty: PUT ME DOWN NOW!

Archie: NO!

Betty: please

Archie: no

Betty: Archie

Archie: Betty

Betty sighs

Veronica: were doing this because we love you

Betty: I don't want your love, I want Jughead's

Archie: well were all your getting for now

Betty groans

Archie sets Betty in the back seat as they drive off

Betty: where are we going?

Archie: you'll see

Betty: I don't like surprises

Veronica: this one will be good

Betty: how is anything good?

Veronica: stop being so negative and think positive

Betty: about what? What I love is in a hospital bed unconscious for a week now
